Someone gave me a people magazine subscription, and the local nursing home rejected it when they take my other magazines. 🤓 I'll start making some magazine clutches for them with it! 😎 I love a bit of mischief. 😇 Thanks for showing us to make a bit of unwanted trash into a potential keepsake!
Found this video from Shannon Green. She made a magazine journal and she mentioned the little rabbit hole of all the people that gave credit to other people and one home was you. This is the neat project Cathy thank you. 🐞 Namaste 🥰

very cool! i started an altered magazine similar to this while back, but it was just for play. it wasnt turning out to my liking so i havent worked on it in awhile but your idea sounds really cool. may have to give it another try! looking forward to seeing more!
Nancy , I think using a magazine that has an actual spine would work best. I have not tried it with the magazine that has only stapled pages. Hope this helps. 💐
Ok C, I don’t know how to link but the video is called prepping pages altered magazine. Then we made a closure and finally we used it to collage in for an art journal. 💐🥰
No, I have done two altered magazines and didn’t have a problem. My magazines had a nice firm spine. When I tore out the pages I went slowly. My only thought is, it might not have been a sturdy magazine to start with. Only a thought because I’m not there with you. I’m sorry this has happened to your magazine.
@@CathysGardenllc I think I'll try a thicker magazine next time. This one had 67 pages but, was sort of soft! I plan to use the other one with the washi. I'll let you know if my journal stays together!
