Just used my ts315s for the first time on Saturday, great value speaker, don't push them and they won't push you. Outdoor test coming this weekend at truckfest scotland 👌
@@rain5920 Do u have nothing better to do then watch other peoples content and criticize what they have and what they like? Why don't you make a video about your speakers to show people what's really good and perfect. I get nothing but compliments about how my system sounds and that's coming from people that have owned both EV's and QSC's.
@@JGilly-cp1tk Depends on the setup. I would be using the mixer for the high/low shelf only so in my case Im better off with other speakers. Its a shame, because the altos are awesome except the missing eq.
I apologize but I don't own a mixer, I use a DJ controller only. And the way I hook that up is by running straight out of the back of the controller to the Subwoofer directly and then the output of the sub to my tops.
Hey man I have 2 of these Alto's for my inside setup but am going to be doing flat parties outside so am going to get a sub. I am not that knowledgable about speakers but how many W do you think my 18 inch sub should be to get a strong bassy set.
That just depends on the amount of people and also the size of the outdoor venue. I suggest going with the new 3 series of Alto subs. For under 100 people in a smaller outdoor venue one should be ok. But if u really want to rock the house go with two.
They are the same wattage but the short answers is yes only because this is an 18 inch sub and is going to hit a lot lower than any 12 inch speaker. In my opinion you would be better off using two 18's than four 12's if you have the space
On this test I didn't use any mixer, just ran it straight from my tablet straight to the powered sub. And the sub has a built in crossover so I didn't have to hi pass the tops🙂
@@SooLeqitx3 No prob, These new 3 series really hit hard. You will love your 12,s But I will recommend a sub if you play a lot of bass heavy genres of music.
i have 4 ts215 and 4 ts215s ... buyed that stuff when it was released ... still doing the job, never had to push them to the limit... some scratches (about 150 weddings / partys....) alto is good ;) (there's better but wayyy to high on cash...)
hi there, been asking about matching speakers im a newbie, Im a bit confused now, does the tops rated 1000w continuous power and the subs only 625 continuous power? and if so, do they match at all? I just thought that the subs should have bigger RMS or equivalent to those tops you’ve got there, sorry for my ignorance ... tnx for the video!
Thanks for watching, And yes you are correct about the subs being underpowered for this new line of Speakers. Unfortunately Alto hasn't mentioned anything about a new more powerful line of subs to match their new tops. So to compensate since I am using 12 in tops I use one 18 in sub or two 12 in subs and it sounds great. I am far from an expert and not to big on specs but I have years of experience and know what works best for me. These days I am only doing party's with less than 120 people and I'm always getting compliments on the way my system sounds.
@@ruelpogiux If you have 15 in tops I recommend at least a sub the same size . Try the TS315s. Technically you could use the 12 in, But I'm not sure how it would sound I've never tried it but I guarantee that any DJ would advise you to use a matching top size or larger sub than your tops.
@@2332gregor ah okay cheers , but how does it work with a single sub bro? I've got 2 315s and a 318 sub and I find my self either running the sub with the left or right speaker. Wondering if mono would be better
@@CumminsBT-bp7dt on these Alto subs they have 2 inputs and 2 outputs. I run straight out of my controller Left and right straight to the sub inputs and then run Left and Right outputs from the sub into each top speaker
@@2332gregor ah okay that's quite good mate, I've only got 1 output on my alto sub so I just have to run it left or right. Does your sub ever dye out when you turn your speakers up? That seems to be happening to me at the moment ...
In this video I used two 12's but I recently upgraded to the 15's with my 18 in sub and to me it sounds better if tour playing bass heavy music. In my opinion the 15's just sound fuller than the 12's
It just depends on the type of party and also the size of the venue. For example If it's any party over 80 people in or outdoor I'll use the 18 but smaller events with 80 or less usually two 12's will do the job. Also if the party is for a younger client and I know I'll be playing a lot of bass heavy music I'll just use the 18 regardless of the size lol
@@2332gregor would you say overall output is greater on the 18? Don't really care for deeper base necessarily just looking for overall output. I was leaning towards 2 12s because aesthetically I'm used to 2 subs but if 1 18 is louder I might just buy one 18.
The recording from my phone really doesn't do these speakers justice, the highs are just right. Very well rounded sound. Give them a listen in person and you will not be disappointed. My phone distorted the sound.
It will get the job done and does sound better indoors. I love bass so I rarely do gigs without a sub. It also depends on the type of music you are playing and the size and location of your venue. If you are playing outdoors I recomend at least one 15 inch sub if you are using 12 inch tops.
Can alto powered speakers can accomodate 500-1000 crowd? In an open area like basketball open court? And if yes, how many tops and subs does it need? For dj
To be completely honest with you I have never done an event that size so I would not know. The biggest event I have ever done was 300 people and I did it with two Ato 15's and two 18 inch subs. My best advice is to try to find the answer on some DJ forums or by calling your local retailer.
