I also installed this. Out of all the mods I’ve made this is one of my favorite. Total game changer. I’m 5’7” also and it’s raised my confidence so much. The install wasn’t as smooth as the Altrider install video on their site, but it wasn’t horrible. FYI I don’t have a center stand. After doing this I saw no reason to swap out the seat. I also have a Cool Cover and love it. Anyhoo, glad you got yours installed. Hope you love it also!!

That's awesome! I'm glad you like it to. I love mine!!! You should check out my seat video we just released. The combination with the lower linkage is perfect!!!

I put a lowering link on my Triumph Tiger and it was great. I did notice that the rear suspension became softer as a result and i had to adjust the preload and dampening to compensate. The leverage change with the longer distance between holes caused that. But no biggie.

Good tip! Thanks for sharing. So far I haven't noticed any changes on mine. But I'm loving the new seat height!!!

I did order the lowering suspension link. Running the oem centerstand, so should be a breeze installing.... (ahum). just wondering a few things: when lowering 19mm will it be really necessary to use a shorter side stand? I find the bike leans over quite a lot (to much i would argue) in complete oem setup. Also: whem lowering the front I'm concerned the forks might go out of alignment. Should I be?

That's great! Hopefully it goes on without any trouble for you. To answer your first question you probably don't need the adjustable side stand if you are only lowering the bike 19 mm. To answer your second question you don't have to worry about getting your forks out of alignment because they float independently. Also check out our most recent video about adjusting the seat height with a different seat. Enjoy!!!

@@MotoPhotoAdventures Great! Thanks for taking the time to answer! As soon as the link arrives (back order) I'll give it a go. I already own the comfort low seat, just find the edges a bit sharp and somehow I feel my arms are raised a bit too much. The barkbuster prohibit turning the bars enough (they will scratch the tank).

I don't think your scoot needs eye protection.
