For the Feminine question, many of us grown up with immigrant families or absent/unreliable fathers had to step up and be hyper independent as a survival response. If we don't feel safe we won't be authentic/feminine. It's about changing our relationships with people. If we have friends or romantic partners who are reliable and proactive -- it allows us to build trust and safety enough to allow us to get out of survival mode. Of course, this requires self work/self care as well

I was struggling to find a balance between my work and personal life for years then I asked help from my loved one and didn’t get it at the end I had to quit my job.sometimes it’s the right decision to prevent yourself from mental and physical diseases, it’s easy to say reach for support but a lot of women don’t have supportive people around them

Like many of us I've struggled to reclaim my femininity from the situations that put me in my masculine energy. I've had a lot of confusion about the difference between defensive masculine emotional patterns versus "masculine interests." Accepting that I can have a non-domestic interest and still become my best feminine self is my own version of how to balance independence and femininity. *Embracing vulnerability and accepting help is so powerful.* Hearing that I'm not alone in having to re-learn femininity is so reassuring, Jazakallah khair!

In Islam religion it’s true that when we choose a spouse we look to his behavior and Islamic values but i understand the sister who mentioned that she is confused about accepting for spouse someone who is shorter than her , she could feel embarrassed and frustrated. However something I am sure about it, being secure with a man doesn’t have any relation with his height
@samia6888

She probably means like physical security like if he is shorter than her then maybe she doesn’t feel like he can defend her? Idk

Standards are good, and self-sufficiency is good. I will always prefer to remain single than to be in an unhappy marriage.. because in unhappy marriages there is bound to be oppression somewhere, and you have a lot more to answer for than just yourself, on top of feeling unhappy and resentful. And it’s sobering to realise that a primary factor of women having to do it all and become “masculine”, is because of having to overcompensate for irresponsible males who don’t pull their weight or are absent without accountability altogether, whether that male is a spouse, parent or sibling. And if our non-Muslim womenfolk are starting to wake up from this and choosing celibacy over engaging with men (like the 4B movement in South Korea due to high rates of SA, abuse, femicide, etc), what more us Muslimahs? If we are contributing to the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (salallahu alayhi wasalam), it’s best we women gatekeep and only continue the lineage of genuinely good, responsible men. Because it does not feel good when the Prophet himself described our ummah as the foam of the sea (plentiful, yet without substance) - Sunan Abu Dawud. May Allah make it easy for us, ameen. 🤲

YESS!! Ride the wave of feminism just like the Kuffar women. The narrative of fathers and brothers being irresponsible or not pulling weight is becoming tiring now. Sister, if truly your father/brothers have been absent from their masculine role (whatever that means), then you need to take accountability for your own issues, work on your insecurities, get rid of the masculine energy your emanate, and find a responsible man who will not be scared to provide for you (tip: look for Deen first and foremost). Also, please do not succumb to the "either he needs to check all of my boxes or I'd stay single" narrative. It's lonely out there for so many women. I genuinely believe that women themselves have lot more work to do on themselves in order to make a successful marriage for themselves and for their kids.
