599 now. Still with 140 coupn. 459 total now. Still not bad, but not what it was. Dammit. I don't really have a need for one, but at 359$ I was thinking of finding a reason lol. At $459...mmyea I'll be ok without personally.
Nope, you would be wrong. I got this for 339 plus tax. I think that makes it 359 and some change but I had some rewards on my credit card so I got about 6.00 off of that. So far it's been a great system except the wi-fi card isn't working as fast as I believe it should but that's okay I'm hooking it up to Ethernet so no big deal there. Yep I have to say that I got lucky listening to EVO Tech at the right time and couldn't pass up this little mini-pc. My only concern is it's not much of a name brand so that's unknown to me...
That $479 starting price appears to be ONLY valid for Amazon Prime members, otherwise, the starting price of the system is $599.99, which means that after the $140 coupon, it'll be $459.99. Mehhh......
That was a sweet deal. Do these mini PCs generally come with a free RAM slot? In other words, the Firebat computer has 16 GB of RAM. Would that be a single 16 GB stick, or two 8 GB sticks? If it is a single 16 GB stick, would there be an empty RAM slot for adding another 16 GB stick? I understand that it can vary. But is there usually an empty slot? Are there usually two slots, or only one slot? If someone wanted to increase the RAM to 32 GB, it would cost much less to add one more 16 GB stick, if there is a free slot. Sorry that I missed that deal. That was a great price.
I had purchased a 6900hx mini PC earlier this week that had not yet shipped. I was able to cancel that one and order this 8845hs system for less $$$$ because I saw this. Thanks for the tip.
there really isnt a reason to get the SER8 vs a SER7. the 8000 series of APUs is identical to the 7000 series in the SER7. You will get the exact same performance for a cheaper price. the SER7 is my recommendation of those 3. Although I would consider the UM780 XTX from minisforum if I were you. The benefit of it being one of the first mini PCs with an oculink port is that you can get it for cheaper than the newer oculink mini PCs while also having the exact same performance as any 8000 series mini PC.
