Bro your lucky having a Scott as teacher ,, good luck on your journey I'm also starting out on this awesome industry I also just subscribe to your channel ✌️🤝
Jorge Pinero thank you for the support! I’m Humbled by your kind words sir. 🙏 I’m grateful and blessed to have not only have him as a friend for two years while doing this, but as a mentor also.
Can u please try koch chimie p3 micro cut and finish is their aio? trying to compare it with griots finishing sealant and hd speed wonder if is good under sunlight like hd speed
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.. great way to share the knowledge by doing a coop with a fellow detailer. I'm 63 years old and disabled and starting my youtube channel about cars and detailing FOR SENIORS, trying to make us count more in the community. Wouldnt thAT BE A GREAT SERIES?
Thanks Scott, YOUR videos have taught me so much and also to get over myself and my fears on detailing my own vehicles and to just “do it”. I’ve been blown away with my results! Keep up the good work!
Scott, I am not a detailer but I am a DIYer who loves to keep my car clean as well as making sure it is well taken care of. In general, I love keeping my car clean while applying what I learn from you and other detailers to help my mom and brother keep their cars clean😁I have seen many detailing videos from many individuals who do this as their living or have knowledge in auto detailing. I can binge watch your videos all day and there are not too many people like you who expose the flaws and marketing tactics by companies that provide products to detailers worldwide. You have opened my eyes completely and I now question any detailers and the products they stand behind. I understand those who are detailers have their prices set based on the services provided, but not everyone can afford the . TBH I am a bit scared to work on my care because I think I'll cause some mistakes on my pain but from watching your videos, I look forward to polish my car while referencing your videos. Keep up the amazing work, Scott and thank you so much! 😃🙌
Thank you Scott for teaching me from the vid. I literally had a bunch of dusting cause I used one cutting pad for the whole car without cleaning it or blowing the dust off.
As someone just starting out and is working towards doing paint correction in the future... the style of this video really helped me out. I felt as if i was that kid sitting in front of you. Awesome video.
I bought my first DA last summer and watching this channel I have come to realize something, I am moving way to fast on those passes. The results were good, but not as nice as I thought there were going to be but I guess that kind of timidness comes standard your rookie year. These videos have given me the confidence to work a little slower and deeper, thanks for all your advice and tips Scott.
1 wash your car really good, 2 clay your car to remove any contamination. This second step is really important because some of this contamination can damage your paint. 3 do it under a shade, 4 don’t over do it especially on corners. 5 never used a dirty polish pad, 5 when you done polish your car wash again before your wax it. 6 when you apply the wax wait like 5 minutes before buffer the wax of. You don’t want circle in your paint follow this steps specially on black paint.
exact same setup with Meg's m105 or m205 is pretty much 100 percent beginner safe. It does dust and this is the only down side. I tried sonax perfect finish and perhaps my skills aren't up to par with an all in one yet. Thanks for the videos as always
I don’t want to sound dumb here so please forgive my lack of knowledge. I will be doing my first minor correction on my wife’s 2021 pilot. Black paint is already a nightmare and she does have a few light swirls and hairline scratches. Based on the video which brought me to this one, using the Griots Complete compound, is that all I need to complete the process of removing swirls and scratches along with protecting the paint? Or do I invest in an actual polish like the one in this video and hit the entire SUV after the compound step? Or can I simply wax it with Angel eyes and be done? Thank you in advance.
My best friend's mom has one of those cars. I use it as a test mule for my finishing polishes. It seems to really like Menzerna, and 3D ACA520. M205 marred the daylights out of it.
Scott I have a 2 year old White Honda Accord. Have never used a clay bar on it. Plan to do that this year. Will I need to use a Polish before I apply Meguiar's ultimate liquid wax. White is hard color to tell if you have swirl marks.
Scott. After you polishing paint do we need to wax over the polish you add protection? If so is it best to use the same manufacturers to bond to their product. Thanks, Bill
Do you wash and buff and wax trailers? Do you have any videos of trailer care? I have a painted .040 aluminum pet grooming trailer that has some scratches I want to minimize.
It's a German product for pros but many hobby detailers are also going for Koch Chemie. Not only the polish is good, all other stuff is outstanding too. In Germany we pay around 35-40€ for 1L of M3.02 🙂
I can't wait till the M3.02 gets here. I have it ordered, now just waiting like a kid at Christmas. By the way, Scott...you have a fine young man there as a protege'. Living proof this country is going to be in great shape when old-timers like me are gone.
Morning Sir, I am new to the detail world and love your videos. I have learned alot and I thank you for that. I am a local guy, and was wondering if you offer any sort of detailing class for beginners? If not, have you ever intertained the idea? I would be in if the price is right. Thanks again for all your info.
Good info. Question that I haven’t seen answered: How often should a car be polished? I’ve cleaned, clayed and polished my car ( thanks to your videos. I used Drive Victory Nano Polish and finished it off with your “Detailer on Steroids” mix . Came out great. How often can/should a car be polished? Thanks again for the great info and videos.
Hi Scott. Appreciate the vid. Just wondering what size DA is best. I am looking at one that is 150mm (6") velcro plate (7" pad) and 21mm throw. Is that too big in and is it better to have the long throw? Thanks
There aren't very many polishes out there that glide like Koch 201. At least I don't know many. It is fun to use and it really hangs in there. Fantastic company and grantastic video!
Hi Scott I have a 7” rotary polisher how do you think those are for paint correction vs a DA polisher? Can I get the same results or should I buy another machine?
Hey mate, Was really keen to go get this product after seeing this vid. But turns out this isnt available here in Australia (I'd have to spend almost the value of the item in shipping to get some shipped over here) Do you perhaps have any other close seconds or third to this? Really wanna get my feet wet this weekend while im stuck at home!
Can you find sonax perfect finish and a yellow Rupes foam pad in Australia? I would pick that combo for a beginner and on black paint. Just try to do it out of direct sunlight and on cool panel
Hi scott a need some advice I have a black ford focus and am wanting to get rid of some of the light swirling Mark's but not sure what pads to use or what colour of pads ? Can you help plz
Watched a lot of your videos... however many of your products aren't available locally in NZ :(. Koch Chemie however is... Out of curiosity, do you not need to apply a wax after a cut and polish or any kind of sealer coat?
I recently painted my truck, I was trying to buff and cut the paint to get a better finish and I notice in some areas the compound I was using got into the paint or clear coat. Why does this happen and how do I correct this?
Hey, im a huge fan of the work you do! Keep it up! I have a question. Do you ever get worried while doing an engine bay detailing? Like getting the alternator or battery wet? Thanks again!
I have a black f 150 how much you guys charge to wax and buff my truck I'm a Dallas resident I saw a black truck the other day and I said damn that truck is shining like gloss
I was looking at there website. It looks like the 302 is the one with the micro cut and 301 is the one with the micro cut and finish/polish in it. Or did I miss something
Informative, but miss just you.doing the videos, felt like you were just talking to us. So many products to choose from since I started watching you about 1.5 years ago. Making me over Think the moment, love you though Scott always will. Rick.
I didn't mean the way it came.out, I didn't know you were helping someone, I thought you were just doing a demonstration, with a qualified detailer. Just like it better myself when its one on one with us.
@@richmikol7165 you mean one on 150k subscribers potentially? I hope I get more than 1 view per video. I may be in a video alone a lot but many in the room watching and in this video Landon is just one more viewer. What I say to him is exactly what I would say to everyone.
I know this sounds odd, but was this filmed in Plano in the Custer & Parker area? Otherwise interesting to see Scott again on a local Texas distributed product.
@@Big_M_T It looked like my old home garage and driveway. Houses had alley so all garages dumped out the back and used steel posts on the fence. Scott is based in that area so was worth asking. Nice video.
Where the hell are you? I’ve been binge-watching your videos for two days and I’m almost to the end!??? I have so many questions! Wish you’d start making videos again….
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 I have the maxshine m15 pro and I put a 6 inch baeur backing playe on it...and I cant get it off.. thank you in advance for replying back to my message.
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 I've watched about 15 of your vids now (thank you for doing them!) but I haven't heard you mention how to go about correcting around chips. Should I put tiny pieces of tape on them and try to stay away, or just move forward normally? Thanks Scott.
...so what ever happened to Scott’s “Flash AIO Polish”, or the rest of his previous product lineup? I feel somewhat betrayed. Did I overlook an explanation video about that somewhere? Now he’s got a whole new lineup of coatings, but no polishes.
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing you seriously had corona?! I’m glad you are ok !!! You are more in the “older” range of people .... I am not calling you old😂😂 like 40 + are the people up in the hospital s
But they should that's the thing. People don't understand you don't remove the swirls or scratch your removing clear.... You want to keep as much factory clear as possible and don't chase perfection in a daily driver... Live with some imperfections and keep your factory clear as long as possible.
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 simple. It's stated even in the title of your RU-vid channel "Paint Correction". How does one "correct" paint? Simply by polishing to remove the defect? Or removing clear to the defects level? In that process of polishing or "correcting" the paint your removing clear. Are you telling me that isn't what polishing does? To maximize your clear coat you do not want to continuously chase imperfections at the sacrifice of your clear coat. Then think a coat of a ceramic coating can take the place of it. Not saying that's what your doing here but I've seen people do it. Including professional detailers.
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 exactly my point. What is happening is people remove so much clear trying to chase every imperfection they know they are taking clear off and I'm sure some people don't know but people think that if they apply a ceramic coating it will be ok. I'm not sure if your getting my point. The point is... You know and I know scratches or swirls are the main reason people Polish their cars. The Polish doesn't remove the swirls or scratches your reducing or removing clear to the depth of the damage. If you do this constantly which some they eventually are wearing that clear down so much and there are people out there that think that is ok because they simply apply a ceramic coating afterwards. People don't realize the importance of the clear coat and should minimize polishing unless it's necessary to do so. Live with imperfections may actually help your paint last longer in some respects. I hope you understand my point. Anyway. Stay safe out there and appreciate your videos. 🙏
