Can’t wait to make this John. I lived in SoCal for 32 years, before moving to Nevada, and there was a specialty pie shop there that made French Silk Pie. When they went out of business during the recession I almost cried because I couldn’t get this pie any more. I’ll bet yours is just as good if not better. Love your cookbook masterpiece!! My favorite of the year. I read it from cover to cover. Congratulations on this beautiful book. I also loved your filmed trip to NYC with the boys. What a bunch of cuties!!

Yes! Baker's Square! Here in the Bay Area too and I've been brokenhearted since they left. (I think they still exist in Iowa.) This looks scrumptious!

While trying to find a French Silk Pie Recipe for my boyfriend for Thanksgiving, I had about 10 tabs open with every recipe that looked good. Your tab was the second one that I opened and played. I had never heard of French silk pie until I went to Chicago to visit some cousins when I was in middle school. We went to the Pie House and my cousin told me to order it. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I had never had anything so delicious before. It is the best pie that has ever been invented.

I made this pie for Thanksgiving. It was a total home run! I made 3 pies, pecan, apple using 4 different types of apples and this French Silk. This pie was gone by the next morning. I will definitely make it again!
