This one was really special, I loved making it. A bit stressful at times, but overall it was a blast.

I used to weave a lot. I haven’t done anything with it for years. Lol you have almost inspired me to do this but the browns call for a larger quilt. lol thank you . I cant believe no raw edges.

That looks fantastic. I can think of lots of places to use a runner such as this, long ones and short ones.

How do you prevent the strips from spreading apart and showing gaps in the table runner since they are not sewn to each other? It is beautiful! Love the colours.

Hi! Thank you! As long as I make sure that when I sew the strips they're tightly woven, there won't be any space left for them to move too much.

I worry about the fusible releasing as it is washed. Have you seen this happen? Ok I see. No fusible on this one but I have seen you use this on other videos. I just wonder if the fusible will hold after washing with no quilting to hold the layers together. I wonder on this project also whether the weave would stay together after washing. Any experience on this to share? I love this project and the others I’ve watched. Thanks!!!

Hi! I use this thermal adhesive for a lot of things, mainly for appliqueing names on my baby quilts and for the ones I've kept in touch with (family and friends) they've lasted pretty great, considering how often you wash a baby quilt. So I would say that for this kind of project, it should hold on nicely. If the weave is sewn properly, it should hang on without an issue. Have a great day!

Beautiful but I would’ve used a fusible web on the back and then press it and then quilt and add a backing so it had more body

It would definitely make the job easier but it would have been a totally different project, this way it's more organic, the way it moves and the way you can see the strips intertwined. There's something really special about that, in my opinion 🙂

Hehe try a smaller project! Like a kugnrig or something. Just a couple of strips, really. I'm addicted to my loop turner now, I could turn fabric inside out all day!!

Hmmm can you just use a Serger that way you won’t have to press seams?

Yeah, if it doesn't get too bulky, sounds like a great idea!
