Hello, I have 4 cameras in Sony A7III and A7CII models. And I want to start and stop recording video for all of these cameras at the same time. Does anyone know a solution for this? Please help...
Thank you for this great Protake video! Do you know if the monitor and camera can transmit without access to the internet? I'm hoping I can use this setup in the forest on a portable wireless LAN without the need to access the internet where there is no signal? Very grateful for your advise.👏🙏
I would like to do a 4 camera podcast while driving rideshare and interviewing passengers. Can I do this and control the switcher features of Protake on a android tablet?
Yes you can definitely record a 4 camera podcast while driving but it wont be live switching. You will just have 4 separate recordings and will have to sync up and do the camera angle switching in your editing software afterwards.
I’m tried Protake and it was incredibly unstable. Connection was randomly shutting down. 1st I thought that it will not impact the recording on both camera iPhones but when I reviewed the results the audio was recording fine but the movie was glitching or completely frozen. I was disappointed:( used iPhone 13 Pro and IPhone 15 Pro as remote cameras and iPad as monitor device.
That's sad to hear. I'm guessing its an iOS update thing. Has always worked great on my Samsung S10 + iPad Air 2 combo and also the few times I used it on my iPhone 14 Pro.
after watching your video I bought this app and the multi-cam feature is not working? I think the app is not ready for that. do you still use this app? can you make a video for how to record video with 3 phones? thankyou.
Yes it still works for me. I always use it when I film myself with my iPhone or do top down tabletop videos and use another iPad to monitor and remote control. What's ur phone model(s)?
@@RJBaculo i use an iPad Pro as a monitor and as a cam, I use 2 phones iPhone X and iPhone 12. I can use only one phone at one time, if I turn off one then I can connect to another one. in the app, I saw the say they can connect 4 phones. but I saw option one can connect 2 phones. if you get time can you please make a tutorial, I think many people have the same problem. and thank you for your reply. I appreciate that.
I don't know, I don't trust any other application except mcpro24fps and Motioncam, but if this application connects 4 phones in the multicamera and the fifth to record, I would support the developer!
I feel ya man. Admittedly, Protake doesn't have the same superior video quality and flexibility that both mcpro24fps and Motion Cam has, but damn its so simple and joyful to use. And that wireless multicam feature is just a killer!
thanks, great video, i bought the app and I have a problem tho. when i use an iPhone as a camera and and android device as a monitor, i get "no signal" on the android. does that setup work for you?
It still works for me (Samsung S10 and iPhone 14 Pro). Just make sure both devices are on the same wifi network. Some wifi networks have 2 separate bands, one for iphones (2.4g) and one for everything else (5g).
You'd probably need to have a Samsung device (phone or tablet) plugged into your laptop and using the Dex function to open and use Protake app for multicam monitoring.
Hi. Thanks for a nice review. There is one thing I would like you to show how it's done. Wireless monitor and record...did you manage to make it work? I tried it even with the paid version, but no luck. I tried to download the app on another mobile with the same account, with the one I bought the app, and it doesn't let me download it. Does it work with native camera or what? Both mobiles are android S23Ultra and Poco...thank you in advance
Actually, I found the solution. To be completely honest, that was the fastest support feedback ever. To set multiple monitor or camera you have to double check if you have signed in with the same phone number. I thought that just by downloading from the same account would be enough but not. Also, for my S23Ultra I get a lot of crushing message when trying to record with 120 or 240 FPS in 1080 mode although I don't get that message on some other phone whose native camera doesn't even have that possibility...interesting...the support comment was When the warning dialog shows up, it means that the configration is not supported in your phone or the your device doesn't open the API to third party apps. Hope this all helps.
Is it possible to watch the just recorded (playback) video on the iPad (monitor) without touching the iPhone (camera), which is positioned in distance?
@@RJBaculo I already thought it, because of the playback button in 6:57. For me this is a giant-feature. I was looking for that and I found no other app with this feature. Thank you for trying!
IN NEED OF HELP: I bought the app after watching, was really excited to spend less time producing content but I cannot get it to work. No devices are able to be set up. Does the Protake app need to be on each device?😢
You can only adjust zoom, focus and press record on the monitor device (and view analytics and switch or split multiple cameras). The subscription includes upto 3 devices, so you wont need to get a separate subscription for your monitor (you just need to sign in with the same Protake+ account)
