Smashed it again with this video well done to you both. I just can’t see how we are only going for a month in Malaysia. Would be a shame for us not to take up the use of the 3 month visa, with so much to do. Great thing of not having any plans I guess.
Those dogs are actually guarding the construction area. FIY they are not stray dogs. Developers/ contractors will normally keep them for a purpose. Malaysians do not eat dogs and cats. We do care for them.
We thought it was unusual that there was so many in a construction area, I knew that Malaysians don’t eat dogs but was taken a back by how kind people seem to be to them, it was lovely to see.
@@truebluetravellers emm yeh few of my cats has been kidnapped by some Burmese immigrants....i cant bare to think how they killed them and eat them, because in northern Thailand, some part of Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam they do still eat cats and dogs as a medicinal food. Because we have a lot of foreign workers working in construction here...same in England i guess but i dont think foreign worker in England eat your cats and dog..OR do they?
Us too, we absolutely love dogs and we always worry when we go to countries that have street dogs what condition they will be in but we saw very few skinny dogs in Malaysia. Haha lovely to hear they are binge worthy 😁😂
You have not seen what the elephant did to one of the hut at kuala tahan.😅.Another camp site further up. Tiger.. you wont see them, but you do smell them, at night.
That doesn’t sound good! 😅 We have seen some pretty crazy videos of Elephants squashing cars and things. Oh that’s interesting that you can smell them, what do they smell like? Although how scary must it be to able smell a tiger and know it’s near and not be able to see it!!! 😳😲😵💫😬
@@truebluetravellers one night we smell something milky, so we ask our guild whats that. Thats what he told us. Then if you shined your lights to the bushes sometimes you find glowing eyes looking at you.. 🙂
Even in d centre of KL, there is millions years old forest in d city, it's at d eco canopy walk (d entrance fee is quite high I think). If I'm not mistaken, d one of d oldest rainforests in Malaysia is d 550 millions years old in d island of Langkawi. It's d Geopark, a UNESCO world heritage site.
I don't want to lie.. before watching your video after reading what that been written on the thumbnail "welcome to the jungle" accidentally Guns n Roses song playing inside my head.. 😅😅🤭
Oh that solves that question for me thank you, I couldn’t figure out why some websites said it was the oldest, I didn’t know if it was disputed or there was a difference I was missing. Thanks for solving it for me 😄
@True Blue Travellers it was never disputed because amazon was just 55m years old. The peninsula was formed much earlier before the Atlantic ocean appeared. Daintree is 180m years old. Peninsula and borneo are around 130m to 140m years old. But we are the species of tropical trees.
Oh thanks so much, thats lovely of you to say. The drone is one of our favourite things we’ve ever bought, it gives such a sense of where you are in a way that a normal camera just can’t capture, we’re so grateful to have the memories for life!
We are back in the UK now, been busy getting everything sorted and just finished up the video for Saturday so I guess it is a secret until Saturday 😂 We’ve got some big plans though! Super excited to share them 😄
OMG Jess. How the hell are you so slim :) i as much as look at a sweet treat i put on a stone LOL Jon, have a look in your crystal ball mate, 10 years on your Jess will be 22 stone and still eating cake for breakfast 🤣 Love you guys really 😜
So disappointed that you didn't stop at National Elephant Rehabilitation and Conservation Centre in Lancang, Pahang during your return. Place to treated injured Elephants or baby elephant separated from their herd, before they get relocate in the deep forest. There's many foreign tourists in buses during the weekend. You don't have to walk far to get closer to them. Free Admission.
I did read up about the sanctuary, it sounds like they do really interesting and valuable work and make a big difference. Unfortunately it just didn’t work out this time.
At 25:18, that is not sushi. That is popiah (a type of spring roll) I knew it you will think that is a sushi because it has the seaweed wrap around it but a regular popiah do not have any seaweed with it, only the special kind has the seaweed option.
We agree Wally that’s why we didn’t stay 😂 But it was really beautiful and would have been an amazing experience. With my tiger taming skills I think they should given us a discount. I could have been the on call tiger whisperer 😂
I'm pisse dorf. I have been waiting for you to comem to the Land of Smiles. Iv'e been rackin my tiny brain on how I can see two of my hero's in the flesh. Oh well.
Oh I’m sorry Wally, we’d love to meet you one day 😄 we had our return flights booked to the UK so had to get back to Oz in time to fly home. Thailand is definitely on our list though so hopefully one day 😃🤞
We’ve not been there but have noticed more strays in other countries. We absolutely love dogs and seeing strays makes us sad but it was nice to see how kind Malaysian people seem to be to them as we know this isn’t the case in some other countries.
@True Blue Travellers there is a jail sentence for animal cruelty here. But you are right in saying that are they happier in the streets than locked up at home?
It would be absolutely amazing to see one in the wild! Totally terrifying but amazing 🤩 ideally from a long way away and while we were in a car or animal hide or something!
