His technical skill is second to none, but what I love most about his playing is his overall style. It's super prog, but really swaggerish and super cool. It's really groovy, and he plays parts that aren't super cheesy and lame like a lot of prog guys. He makes music, not a series of practice exercises
@@usuallyclueless4477 eh, nobody said he was better than wooten. just up there with him, they’re saying he’s both technically skilled and insanely creative… which i agree on, he doesn’t overplay and he writes good parts that serve the music. i’m here for it, I consider both of them some of the greats of our time
They started in high-school and clay joined not much longer after. They've been playing together for a long ass time and their drummer now is a beast too
The bad part is he could shred notes all day up the neck but that's the biggest treat of both of the clays... timing people, he knows when and what's to do
I already gave up on music so too late for me to get good. I’m not meant to do this kinda thing. I love music but there’s other things I’m also interested in while having some motivation. So I’m gonna have to drop music.
can someone tell me pleasev wich song he play at 3:23 , this got to be the most beautiful bass line i ever listened to in my whole fuckin life omfg ,the song must be so good i'm not sure i already heard it even if i do love this band .
@@norpriest521 it used to be accessible as an individual short an now no longer is, Storm specifically gets stuck in my head a lot, and I can’t hear it on the album mix at all 😭
