The coloured text is a brilliant way to have one card occupy three+ holo spots. Making it harder to get the card you do want if your luck isn't great.

The green alt text is the only one I like, and only on certain cards. Red Rose Dragon and Predapractice for example. The other ones are unreadable to me.

The DMG die is short printed to roughly 2 dice per master case. Currently running about $20. Super high roll, pun intended

Yeah, there’s a lot of clumping in this set. I noticed when I got some I kept pulling a lot of the same cards. When it’s something like Apprentice Illusion Magician, Dark Magician Girl, or Sangan then it’s not that bad, I just feel bad for whoever got a shit ton of Gernias.

Yeah while clumping does suck for people who buy cases/boxes, it also theoretically is nicer if you're buying from some card shop that you're not screwed out of a particular card because someone who bought a pack before you pulled one. All I can say is that there's definitely been some bad examples in the past where because things were printed at a "only one per box" stipulation people wouldn't want to buy any from a box that'd already confirmed its pull

@@shanagbaimuru3926 the problem at hand tho is it still is its still a QC control issue. 1/box or clump/box. someone theoretically shouldnt spend 90$ on a single display to get the same rarity cards in a given set. Thats the main reason why theres promo cards in the given set. Promo cards are consistent, the boxes should be truly random.

It’s really weird how these sets come in such a big box, for such a small amount of product. I bought a couple of boxes of the link vrains set, while I was in Japan, and the box they came in( half the size of this product ) would have been able to fit this entire product.

It's to try and stop people from stealing the promo cards out of boxes. Crime in Japan is far lower and they don't have to take drastic measures to stop things like scaling.

A lot of stores in America stopped stocking TCGs because of all the crime and violence that happens around them. Constant theft and fights. My grocery store has all the trading cards locked in a case because of the problems they've caused.

Seen multiple vids on these, seems to be a trend with getting 3-4 (or more) of the same handful of mediocre ultras in a display, feels bad, man. Hope Konami realizes the problem and gets right to fixing it so everyone has a better chance of getti-...pfft...yeah right. They know what they're doing.

I've seen those little nicks in the corner of the cards on a lot of packs recently, especially in DIFO and LD Water. Quality control these last few sets has been really rough from Konami.

QC has been so inconsistent it's virtually non existent! Sometimes you get perfect cards then...you get nicks and bends!

One of the few boxes of grand creators I bought had absolutely terrible QC. I had weird bends in some of the corners, several cards with white specs as if the printer was spotty, one card got caught in the pack seal so I had indents all over the top of the card, and the worst of all the collectors rare of exosister’s pax had a ding in the left corner of the card.

@@CardCommander that pretty much sums up the majority of Yu-Gi-Oh packs in general, everyone just skips to the middle of a pack to see if they pulled the best secret/ultra rare in the set or not and toss everything else aside.

Really damn shame that there's only 1 promo per 15 bucks box, with such a wide pool of different promos possible, with the most interesting cards from the set being promos. I miss the days where promos in sets weren't random and you had multiple promos per promo pack... A lot of the ultras are random old cards that should have been commons, and take space from the actual interesting ultras. Not very happy with the set

Nice video Paul! It's interesting seeing the difference in the way the product is released. Here in Europe, the box is different being made of stronger cardboard, more like a tray, so I use it to store my cards nicely. The annoying thing they did was that only very specific stores sell the Dark Magician die. Unfortunately, I am not in any of the 3 countries in Europe that have it. :(

The promos and dice you pulled were FIRE!!!!!! But yeah the packs were cursed. No Yugi or Bakura stuff and a tone of repeat ultras. I felt that disappointment when you got that 4th sangan and satellite warrior. Basically one in every box on average

I bought a case. Got everything I wanted but odd with how many. I did get a play set of Magicians Souls and Souls Servant. 6 The Dark Magicians though… oh and ONE adjusted Gold and playset of Evil Hero Bane. Very weird considering they are so cheap for singles…

I bought only three packs thinking I would be happy if I just got a decent Secret Rare card out of the 10 offered. I ended up rolling two Elemental Hero Sunrise and one Predaplant Triphyoverutum. I would have been happy to get literally anything else. Now I have to buy the singles of the cards I wanted.

You made me feel better about my box.4 honest neos, Pulled 4 Sagan 4 satellite warrior, 5 magicians combination, 3 dark magician girl, 3 tuning. It was just the same ones over and over. I did get 1 souls. Promo cards 6 diffrent out of 8 isn't bad. But the dice were bad. 1 neos 3 hero signal, 2 junk synchron, 1 dm 1 circle. I was more sad about the dice. Congrats on getting the dmg!

Wow, and I thought the European packaging for this set was wasteful with the plastic window insert taking up all the room, that's just a box that's 3/4 empty, if not 4/5 empty. Reprints are okay as long as they're of things people can actually use and not just old clunky fodder like Legendary Collection Joey was, and I do like the idea of having different ultra rare lettering being the Egyptian God/Duel Academy dorm colours, if only the booster packs had a more balanced rare distribution.

I feel you Paul! I got my display today that was pre-ordered months ago. Only good pull i got was my promo Soul servant. The rest ? All useless garbage! The only pull i was happy for was a DMG with red name but the quality control over Konamk sucks so the cards has damaged corners. Thanks konami for taking our money , giving us shitty cents cards and damaged pulls :) !!

Yeah, I think grand creators was the set where QC took a major turn and was terrible quality. The cardboard stock felt different, edges were cut poorly, there was more name shifting, and of course who could forget about the error boxes with CRs (and starlight error boxes with DIFO, which had the same bad quality printing as grand creators). I just wish Konami would invest in themselves...

@@OG-512 No they haven't. They've been pretty terrible, with one or two valuable reprints keeping them afloat. Besides the Albaz structure, all we've had are casual decks. Ice Barriers, Charmers, Sacred Beasts, Cyberdark's, and Machina. With Crystal Beasts slated as the next SD. While the Ice Barrier, Cyberdark and Sacred Beast SD's gave them great support, those decks are still terrible for anyone looking to get into the game on a serious level, which is what the POINT of STRUCTURE decks is.

@@SakuraAvalon structure decks are not meant to get people into a serious part of the game. It's to give new player a decent deck to start with and an older player a possibility to get a card they're searching for that could be in it for a decent price (for example called by the grave).

This set alone that feels infamous for getting duplicates and poor quality. Like I bought this set and kept getting the Zarc Performapal card 6 times and 4 times with Gernia that dark zombie card. I at least got all the dice that was shown on the back (minus the Dark Magician Girl one as I didn’t know that was a thing) along with some nice cards, but my second copy of The Dark Magicians damaged in the packaging.
