This is fantastic...going to download it tonight. However, Wondering 🤔 if you would consider adding the ability to do character level styling at the font level without having to go into fusion for v3? Currently, Text+ doesn't allow you to do this on the edit page like basic text does. So to add the ability to do character level styling on the edit page with this scrip for Text+ would be super helpful! Just a thought.

Did you find any clear documentation somewhere? I use the README but it is incomplete, and I also go through forums. I am looking for the method or attribute to modify the color of a Text+ clip. The wizard of DVR community 🔥 Can we use it for all the text+ nodes of a single track(say a dedicated track for Caption texts) ? I dont wanna change any other texts present in the timeline, want to change for a particular track/s only. Is it possible William ?

Outstanding! However, I have some nits. The Horizontal/Center button doesn't actually center the text items horizontally on the screen. In your example (at 4:14), they are collectively slightly skewed to the right side of the frame. I suspect that it's using the horizontal location of the left-end of the rightmost text element as the reference for the left side of the "enclosing horizontally-centered box the text should be in". Perhaps you need to right-justify the rightmost text element and then use the location of its right edge to establish the left-right boundaries of where the text elements should end up? (I hope that is clear. I obviously don't know how you implemented this, so I'm describing one way that a programmer might approach the problem. There are probably many other ways to do it, but hopefully what I wrote here is enough to get your creative juices flowing.) The Vertical button suffers from the same issue. It also seems like the "ALIGN VERTICAL" section is missing Top and Bottom buttons. Actually, as I review the video, it looks like most/all of the buttons don't work precisely as one might expect. When you clicked the ALIGN HORIZONTAL -> Right button, all four of the text elements aligned at some arbitrary left-right point instead of where the rightmost text element was, which is how I would have expected it to work. It did the same thing when you clicked the Left ALIGN HORIZONTAL button whereupon you repeated it after moving the topmost text element closer to the left side of the frame to get them to align horizontally there. Still much work to be done for version 3, I think. ;-)

Hi William, when I saw Simon Stansfield's request it reminded me of my own, can you make the edit/fusion text font chooser... more of a choose than a lucky guess( I have tons of fonts so my case is a lucky guess), I would love to be able to see how each font looks like before I click on it, then make the decision, it could be with a predefined text when you open the font chooser window... or with a custom one each time, whatever is easier but the Davinci Resolve font window picker is hard for me. I would like a tutorial on the first text, please! Thanks for your time. Stay strong!

Most Add-ons, Extra features etc I've downloaded for Resolve have been "Yeah, that's nice, but I'll never use it". However, these tools of yours are brilliant. I can see me using them on a regular basis. Blackmagic should pay you to incorporate them into a future version of the software. There's just one thing I'm confused about - when you first align text clips they align to the 1st clip's center, then suddenly they start aligning to the first clip's left or right edges (which is what we want). To force the alignment to do what we want, could the two Left and Right alignment buttons be replaced with four buttons, Left to Center, Left to Left Edge, Right to Center and Right to Right Edge? I'm a bit confused, I have a text + and I have it located at the top of the video while the rest of the clips of that animated subtitle (text +) are in the center... I select them all, having the playhead above the clip that has the subtitles at the top of the video, I clicked both "Copy at Playhead" and "Copy to Timeline" and nothing happens, the rest of the text + clips are still in the center... what am I doing wrong?

Hi there. I just installed the script and it crashes resolve as i hit center horizontally... I am on a macbook pro m1 running OS 13.5.1 and davinci resolve 18

Seems not to work in DR 18.5 Whenever I click a button to align the text nothing happens.
