For twenty years I worked as a tool and die maker in the Aerospace industry. Tolerances we faced were commonly on the order of .0002 (two ten thousandths of an inch, and on one occasion I was held to .00005 (fifty millionths of an inch). At the time we would have referred to the men in this video as hatchet machinists. But I guess when all you've got is a hatchet, you get pretty good with it. Watching this video, it is obvious to anyone that they are incredibly skilled, and ingenious craftsmen. We're I running a machine shop today, I would hire any or all of the men shown and never give a second thought to the fact that they lacked experience in close tolerance work and machinery. They had the will to work and no doubt to learn, and could probably out produce me any day of the week. My hat is off to them and their hatchets.
The Old Chap certainly knows his stuff and hopefully his wealth of experience and skill will be passed on to the younger members of his team. I have great respect for workers of this nature that can turn old ships into new machinery. He deserves the title 'Effendi'.
We are proud own self when who comments like this am also member of this team on lathe machine thanks for appreciating and supporting us greetings from us❤️
A true craftsman. Expert. Wealthy people look down on hard working people like this but it is the wealthy that needs to worry about themselves. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world but to lose his own soul.
@Antonio Ferreira thanks for your support and appreciate we want just lovely viewers like you thank you i tell about your support and appreciated words to all these mechanics because i am also work here in this team this is my own channel❤️
Absolutely outstanding. Necessity is the mother of invention and you make do with what you have in basic equipment and use your brains. All the best from the UK.
Amazing work I used to run a bigger version of the the machine u r building here and it is very hard work doing the maintenance on these machines and I must say it was amazing to see one being built from scratch just subbed
These torches cut iron like a knife slices bread, that's why these brave people squatting on their legs make surgical cuts on metal ! Despite the accumulated delay in technological matters and the latent lack of machine tools, the mechanical genius of these "devils" is indisputable since they manage to manufacture and assemble such heavy equipment. Which is not within everyone's reach. Moreover, at this rate and with such determination, they will soon catch up. We wish them much success and a bright future!
Less about 'catching up', and more about utilising quality trade skills that are perfectly suited to production of quality machinery. There are plenty of advanced CNC machine shops too, but they are focused on the high precision sort of work such factories are suited to. A hammer mill after all is not required to be built to the same standards as medical equipment, astronomical instruments, space exploration components, mining and refining implements etc... I think the processes and techniques used in this factory are perfectly reasonable and obviously economically viable. The engineers I grew up with pretty much did the same thing, most still do - just wearing good boots, PPE and hi-vis clothing. Living in a temperate zone, I suspect my working conditions are vastly different than in a tropical environment just in dealing with heat and humidity...
SON UNOS MOUSTROS RESICLANDO HIERRO, LASTIMA QUE EL FABRICAR ESTE TIPO DE MAQUIMAS NO RECIBAN UNA BUENA PAGA Y LOS EMPRESARIOS SE BUELVEN MAS RICOS. SALUDOS DESDE VENEZUELA.
Carson Well's comments as a tool and die maker below. I comment as retired maint worker. And that is where, as the owner of a workshop as shown to heavy, hot work and overhead lifting device, I would simply mention to the owner, good work boots and inexpensive eye protection for the workers would be well within best goal. The reason as where the men so at employ have a value. Replacement as one man among a crew is easy. But where the men of a crew understand just one bit further, the shop owner, lead to crew shows that each has a value to be added. By training or strength or by being present for duty...true heavy shop production as to job goals come with hazard. I in fact have a small workshop with metal lathe. And at the toolbar, is a pair of inexpensive safety glasses. I place them there to protect eyes. And I understand, this is not the service as to wealth, highly modern process. But I would say, think of how prudent and of slight effort to cause protection to men. As from the video, who work hard and are intelligent. As for that lathe operation, that work was shown to a craftsman who understands tolerance. To the limits of his machine. And with rugged brute tools as I observe near the absolute limits of the fixture(s). As to the care of machine, such shop tools, or the workers, better income forecast can be shown to simple, maint goals. M.
Thanks for sharing all your experiences with us i am also working here in this vide on lathe machine here is owners just need money they don’t want workers safety just they never want to lose money on workers and thanks for supporting us and appreciate your importance to us 👍❤️
Dirt floors, hold up and hope welding shield, flip flops... not the most ideal or safe gear and conditions but these men work hard with what they have. It goes to show you don't always need the biggest and best equipment. Just make do with what you have and get the job done.
Impressive manual teamwork! But I realize that effectiveness can put workers health in danger. Simple things as protective equipment like wearing a mask when spraypainting would help a lot. Thanks for a great video!
@@leondxut I also cringe at the lack of eye protection of any sort. A flying fragment of metal can cut through an eye ball like it's filled with a gel.
@@gorillaau Thanks for your mentioning that. Yes, you are correct, I didn't mention that but it is glaringly obvious. I mentioned lack of safety boots because they have saved me from serious injury on three occasions.
Skilled work but ffs only the older men were wearing safety boots . Im also sure the owners have made enough profits to afford proper helmets to weld .
Austrralia still does a lot. Just not mass production where we cant compete with Asia. We are producijg plenty of bespoke or short run stuff like heavy machine parts, large fuel tanks and the like.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts about us and pretty much appreciated your support stay attached with us thanks for your wishes god bless you ❤️👍
Love video making of this hammer mill ! Quite impressive hard working guys ! Although would like to see them make themselves some steel toed boots I`m sure it would be no problem for them !
...the American president Richard Nixon, he said Pakistan must never be allowed to have nuclear weapons . After watching a few videos on here I understand why the Americans feared Pakistan . Also remind me of the Vietnames people . When the Americans realised the Vietnamese determination, they lost all aspiration hence the body bags returned .
Deus proteja esses trabalhadores !
Yes you are correct sir because when I visit that site there is these machines running 24/7 all outside of machinery fill with leaking oil and grease agree with you 💯❤️
When you're working with that thickness of steel all the time you should have at least a hydraulic press to bend your stock in a controlled way. A ring roller would be nice to. A sledgehammer is not a precision instrument. They could probably build most of a press with the scraps lying around them. The old guy on the cutting torch makes some nice kerfs.
THAT WHOLE CREW SHOULD BE EXTREMELY PROUD OF WHAT THEY HAVE DONE AND WHAT THEY ACCOMPLISHED WITH SHEER LABOR, WORKING SMART, WITHOUT ANY OBVIOUS PPE...THEY HAD ALL THEIR FINGERS AND TOE! THE GUYS SLINGING THAT HAMMER KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN IF HE MISSED A LICK!!! SIMPLY UNBELIEVABLE WHAT THEY DID IN THIS POST!!!! AND WHATEVER THEY EARN, IT IS NOT NEARLY ENOUGH FOR THEIR CRAFTSMANSHIP!!!!!
This is not a manufacturing process of a huge machine, but rather a process to build a hammermill. The question is what is this hammermill for, i.e. crushing stones, etc.?
