It happened to me as well. I missed 401k contributions first 3 year working in the USA .Supervisor and hr are not stressing the importance of 401k. You are not going to loose anything by contributing to 401k plan.

Vanakkam Bro, Thanks for the video, really helps for everyone . I have one suggestion regarding the 529 plan . California (CA) state doesn’t provide tax benefits for 529 plan . Like this we have few more states.

That is correct. Contributions are not tax deductible at the federal level, but they may be eligible for state tax exemptions in some (but not all) states

Hi vimal bro I got this answer from quora and most relevant too Most of the Brokerages would need following: 1. Update the overseas address (ie. your India address) on the account. 2. Provide proof for your overseas address. 2. Fill out IRS W-8BEN form so that they can stop withholding tax in US ( if net outcome of trading is profit) . Declare capital gain/ short term gain / dividend in your home country and file the taxes for your trading activity. So paying tax in india is enough but update into the brokerage account properly for your case Robinhood

Good info guys. Depending on how long we have lived in states, people's mindset change over time. As Prem says, think/reach out beyond your group/circle of competence. I had to move out of my big friends group due to personal reasons and found that I lacked in lot of areas. For example, the group I was part of always think Real estate is the best investment and they started buying second homes. They are not interested in exploring other Ideas/options and even refrain from talking about it. Be part of a group but at the same time, keep in touch with all your contacts outside the group as well.

We are love marriage in h1b with less family support. we are paranoid to plan baby in case we get visa issues. is giving birth in mexico a good plan ? that way we dont have to seperated . we also have two small dogs so goinv to india is a complicated option for us
