China is also investing in sodium solid state battery technology which holds promise for its longer life span, increase range and faster charging rates compared to lithium batteries. Sodium is also cheaper than lithium, so the technology would make electric cars more affordable to the masses.

Worst of all there will never be enough electricity ANYWHERE to charge them. Electricity boss in NSW Australia says sure we can handle the power required next press announcement asks Aussies not to use Air Con this summer due to short supply. What he sees is CAPTIVE MARKET refuses to see Inability to actually supply electricity. This is the Green EV con in a Nut Shell. Hydrogen is the future Japan will take the eventual win. China Before the Invasion of the Eight-Power Allied Forces In the 1830s, Britain illegally exported opium to China in large quantities, bringing severe damage to China in political, economic social and other aspects. The Qing Government finally made a resolute decision and dispatched Lin Zexu, Governor-General of Hubei and Hunan, to ban opium smoking and the opium trade in Guangdong. In 1840, Britain launched an undeclared war on China. Cities and towns along Chinese coast and the Yangtze River, such as Zhoushan, Ningbo, Wusong and Zhejiang, were successively attacked by British warships. In August 1842, the Qing Government was forced to sign the Sino-British Treaty of Nanking, the first unequal Treaty in modern Chinese history. During the following 60 years, the Qing Government opened wide its doors to the outside world. Unequal treaties followed one after another, including the Treaty of Wanghea with the United States, the Treaty of Whampoa with France, the Treaty of Aigun with Russia and the Treaty of Shimonoseki with Japan. The treaties contained the humiliating and sovereignty-forfeiting articles on the cession of territory, the payment of indemnities, stationing of foreign garrisons, free missionary activities and open opium trading. The colonialist powers took control of China's Customs administration and rights for tariff agreements. They enjoyed consular jurisdiction and the power to issue bank notes, seizing China's sovereignty by piecemeal encroachment or wholesale annexation. The Chinese people hated the unequal treaties, and when the Boxers rose in rebellion, they declared: "We resent the treaties most because they wreck the country and ruin the people. Officials in subordinate positions follow the example set by their superiors, and the people cannot have their injustice redressed." And we in the West are told Russia and China are evil.

Maybe because of flammable fuel and bad maintenance. Difference is one can be put out in minutes and doesn't reignite 3 weeks later, also the amount of electric cars will increase, and so will the likely hood of 2 electric cars crashing more often. The cost of batteries and repair is ridiculous. Insurance for EV's are surging, also the electric networks can't cope, so more coal power stations are needed to meet demand.

Too many problems they are not environmentally friendly have a ONE TIME short life recycling is difficult they're a throw away item. Worst of all there nwilnever be enough electricity ANYWHERE to charge them. Electricity boss in NSW Australia says sure we can handle the power required next press announcement asks Aussies nit to use Air Con this summer due to short supply. What he sees is CAPTIVE MARKET refuses to see Inability to actually supply electricity. This is the Green EV con in a Nut Shell. Hydrogen is the future Japan will take the eventual win. I also contacted Ford motor Company in General motors, as well as transportation, secretary, and energy secretary’s office to advised them that the future of EV infrastructure is slowly turning towards battery swap, which Nio is a major player. I told them if Chinese battery swap EV ‘s hit American streets it will be worst than when the Japanese took massive American market share in the 80’s and 90’s. Simple and plan they have to realize they have been beat and join the party or become obsolete. But did they listen to me….! Some random dude off the street. So I own nice size share of Nio. Holding it for 2 or three more years. Nio just announced they have a simi solid state battery that gets 650 miles per charge.

Thing is, US was always awake. Politics and the focus on short term gains, along with the union workforce made the transition to EV slow. Lastly, big oil and their supporters including the government, blocked the transition altogether. Once EVs dominate the world, this shift will be seen as another case study. All the talk about the benefits of other technologies or whether EVs are better or worse than ICE will simply be put to rest.

Yeah I would hate for workers to share in the profits of their billionaire companies...why not demand better instead of being green with envy of your fellow workers. This is what is destroying the USA. Greed and Envy. Chinese have more middle class than the entire population of the USA and are watching their incomes and productivity multiply each decade. They build for their market and each passing year the USA becomes less and less relevant. They want other countries to develop and to be a market for their products. The opposite of the USA that only sees foreign countries, and their own domestic population as food for the rich and to reduce everyone to bare essentials. Why has US productivity gone up 400% in the last 40 years yet wages have only risen less than 15%, and that is mostly on the top end or workers, while the poor are earning less. The more people with disposable income, the more people can afford to buy new products and services, thus enlarging the entire economic pie. But that means you have to understand that your neighbour deserves a good living too. Most in the west are too selfish to even understand how the economy works beyond their own self interests. You could have USA made products with reasonable prices if you had economy of scales and peoples wages had kept up over the years. Sure my TV costs 4,000 and is made in Billings, but I make 1200 take home a week, its not that bad. The amount we are paying for essentials is removing all disposable income. Banks, Grocery, fast fashion Clothes, Insurance, Gas, Electricty...even water is costing us far more than it should and is going into shareholders pockets instead of being reinvested, or paid to the workers. Remember when you would buy a pair of Levis and they would last 4 years. Now you are lucky if they last a year, but they cost half as much. Spend more for built in obsolescence and forever profits.

China has basically mastered any technology it has put its collective mind to from high speed rail to electric cars and regardless of politics you have to respect its ambition and results... I fully suspect within 5-10 years almost all cars will be Designed in ______, Made in China the way our technology is now. As I type this on a Lenovo laptop made in China that was from a company formerly known as IBM's Personal Computing division which is/was a perfect example of American innovation that was given up to China which now dominates the tech space the way Japan used to in the 1980's... Alas even the once mighty Toshiba Corporation is being delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange which speaks volumes about the decline of Japanese influence on global affairs and a sign of when you get too complacent on top of the world...

Yes Cyrus, China, publicly stated in the early days of Evies, they could not hope to compete. However, they will seek to control processing of lithium into batteries. In your other video you quoted Tim Cook, who kind of echoed what Steve Jobs told Obama, that an iPhone factory here would need 30,000 engineers and we just don’t have that anymore. A decade ago I contacted a British tool and die maker, Starr Molds, for injection plastics molds, and he moved to China. At the time he was the first foreign company that was allowed to own 100% of the corporation, and he brought in a German award, winning guy who figured out the most efficient pathways for hot liquid plastic to move through the molds, and also an award-winning Californian dude, who came up with a new way to polish injection molds using nano ceramic beads and ultrasound to have them polish the surface metal to get that glossy shiny plastic. China supplied them with free, technical institute employees, where they learned all of the very top methods, so they were willing to learn - and DID. They are working hard, working smart, there are a ton of negatives, but they are moving forward. The rest of us kind of get a little lazy for the most part, and rest on our laurels.
