He'll yea buddy I remember that superbowl Joey holding his son we will never see defense like that filled depth cart like this again but I steeler fan win or lose
That overturned Polamalu interception was such nonsense. If he had just stayed on the ground it'd have counted. Makes no sense to say it's an incomplete due to trying to stand up.
The after parties and parade in Pittsburgh were epic too ❤😂 I live in rural PA. I drove an hour to a park and ride and took a bus ride for another hour into the city for that. I still have the printed pictures I took on a real camera lol! I remember that line of people on the turnpike coming back from Detroit. HERE WE GO STEELERS HONK HONK - IYKYK!
The Pittsburgh Steelers were always a Thorn in the side of Houston Oilers. Am so glad that The Texans are not in the same Division when they came back into the NFL in 2002.
I remember the 1st road game against the Colts like it was yesterday. I was in school and watching at a bowling alley. A bunch of my classmates were there joking, saying Pittsburgh was gonna get their asses kicked and I said nope, it’s gonna be the other way around. You kinda just knew. After the game, and really after the next one, I recall many pundits saying, “well, that was luck” or “Well, now they have to play so and so” And none of it mattered. I’ve been a Steeler fan since their last SB of the 70’s and I have to admit that that 04 squad was something special. Who doesn’t remember the turning point of that season? When Bettis ran over Urlacher at the goal line. I had that picture as my desktop for many years. Just sheer will and determination. I see a lot of similarities in the 23 squad as I did with that group. Not necessarily from a skill standpoint but from an overall intangible perspective. See, I don’t mind the Ws where the O is only putting up 16 points or the games where the defense must play lights out. A win is a win. And just like the season, it’s a journey and a single game by any team or player won’t define them. Each game is a step in that journey. Each player and each team collectively have to decide whether they want to take the step or be a door mat for some other team and the only thing needed to take the step is to believe. Believe in yourself and your teammates. To borrow from Coach Cowher; Believe that your best is good enough to get the W. That’s all. Confidence.
I wasn't around for the Steelers 70s I remeber as yoingster crying my eyes out when O'Donnald throw thar 2nd pick in superbowl 30 than Big Ben came around and we had a magical Rookie season for a hart lbreaking end he talked the Bus into giving him one more year and delivered and as much love this team the 08 team was special in presean I told everyone that would listen we are gonna win the Bowl that was a specail Defense we didn't have the best oline but had somestars on the ofense to and you could tell no one was gonna stand in our it's a 5 star match up cause we in it and Cowher didn't have a lot of lossing season he had a few but we went to like 4 or 5 afc championship games and 2 superbowls and like what was it 10 10 divison championships
Too bad Myron Cope had to step down the year before (health issues). He made listening to Steeler games on the radio fun, even when the Steelers were el stinko. Double Yoi!
Bill Cowher was the LAST REAL COACH...the Steelers have gotten.... Mike Tomlin is a cheerleader coach.... during MT ternure...Steelers have gone down the rabbit hole.... mediocre defenses..poor running game... etc... MT won a superbowl because the team of Coach Cowher... after that... Steelers have been BIG TIME MEDIOCRES.... *******
yeah but this game is one of the main games to prove the nfl is rigged. when the refs apologize to a team yrs later because of guilt that's all you need to know
@@wellitsherenowSeattle had its chances to win the game and they blew it. The pass interference that Steve Young whined about was a correct call. Hasselback threw the interception, not the officials. Get over it and grow up.
Yes, if it wasn't for the cheating Patriots, the Steelers would have appeared in three Super Bowls in the early 2000s instead of 1. Thankfully NFL fans were given a deserving champion to wrap up the '05 season.
