One of the most memorable playoff games of all time.

Troy made that INT as surely as Jesse James scored the TD against the Pats. This was such a classic that even watching it again now made me nervous as if the outcome was in doubt!

That 4th quarter was wild and had lots of moments that were unexpected! Troy's INT that shouldn't have been reversed, Jerome's fumble, Ben's tackle, Vanderjagt's miss. Lebeau's scheme really won this game for Pittsburgh though. He had Manning rattled with the unique blitzes

Little surprised Throwback didn’t go with the Indy/Pittsburgh 1995 AFC Championship Game

The Colts had the 2nd ranked offense and 2nd ranked defense this season and lost. Even got bailed out with the Polmalu int taken away and Manning getting gifted the ball back after the fumble. Colts had a lot of choke jobs, but this was the worst.

Love this game as a Steelers fan Peyton got rid of Vanderjagt after this game and won the Super Bowl the next year, talk about winning the feud 👀

That was a hell of a moment when Manning waved the punt team off at his own 35 converted 4th down, then took his team down the field for a TD two plays later. Never saw anything like that before. This game was insane, the Bettis fumble, the Rothlisberger tackle, Steelers stopping Manning and getting the win with the missed FG when it looked like the Colts we're gonna make the comeback, WOW. That was a game right there.

Vanderjagt was never the same after this kick. The mental of a kicker is crazy. Dude was crazy accurate and this kick just killed his career.

This should be titled Mike Vanderchokes in playoffs

The following year, the Colts signed Vinatieri and he helped them to win the Super Bowl XLI.

This Colts team was arguably the best Colts team in Manning’s time with Indy. I think had they won this game, they would’ve beaten Denver in the AFC Championship and then beat Seattle in the Super Bowl.

Those steelers were used to play a heavy running game and kept the air game for third downs, the way they were aggressive on first quarter was incredible, they beat colts in their own game too early, the awful call on Polamalu interception made it a closer game

It wasn’t just him missing the kick, it was like he completely miss kicking the ball. That was one of the worse shanks in NFL history.

For sure one of the most disappointing losses in the Manning era. One thing to remember about the end of that year is the Colts went from early Dec to the Playoffs without a meaningful game because they had wrapped up the seeding so early. They looked very rusty and out of sync during the first half and into Q3 before starting to look like the Colts we knew.

Just a reminder that the Steelers are 26-6 against the Colts including the playoff, where they’re 5-0 against Indy.

Who knows what would've happened if Indianapolis won this game? If they go on to win the Super Bowl, and the one next year, it would've greatly changed our perception of this Colts team as a potential dynasty.

Nobody gave Pittsburgh a chance.
