A third international airport was long overdue. People are traveling by air at record levels in recent times. And given that many persons vacation on the north coast, stretching from Negril to Portland, the Sangster's International airport arrivals meant long road travels for those staying outside on Montego Bay. The long-distance road travel between Sangster's Airport and other North coast vacation spots, I am sure, discouraged some travelers from opting for those places. The conversation of the airport in the Boscobel region will change all that and will lead to an increase in tourist visits to those areas.

Awesome! I am glad you made it! This will sound so goofy, but I get emotional (complete joy and good vibe feelings) seeing this happen. @@1STEWY there is a 'strip' near Treasure Beach, currently used for helicopters. Also had heard rumors of something in the works at White House by Sandals

I call this progress. Many years ago I worked at this airport when TransJamaica existed and witnessing this is historic and commendation to those who made it possible. It would be nice to see Porter.Airlines flying from Toronto City Airport to this new destination as they now have the plane as this is the ideal market that Porter Airlines could expand into as the first international destination outside of North America

@@garfieldwhittaker944 The runway has capacity for planes with seats under 100 and to accommodate flights within two hours radius from Boscobel. Boscobel is unique for small carrier
@1STEWY The Ian Fleming International Airport in Boscobell in St.Mary's Jamaica is gonna attract some more flights there however they'll still have to work on some more Phases on The Airport to handle the Big Flights that could land there but I Believe they'll get there soon.
@@karlossargeant3872 no land space to really lengthen the runway...far too expensive to expand to the Mobay airport's size/scale vis-a-vis the current volume....

I was just saying yesterday that they need to bring back Air Jamaica. Imagine seeing the big hummingbird landing in the new airport! That would be the true dream! Nonetheless, this is big!!!
