The American Express Platinum is like no other, but you have some choices if you are an entrepreneur or business person. You can choose to get the Amex Platinum as a personal credit card or you can get the American Express Platinum Business Credit Card.
If you are lucky, sometimes you get to have both! Is there an advantage to having the Amex Platinum Personal vs The Amex Platinum Business? There is a distinction of between the credit cards even though they share a lot of similarities.
The American Express Platinum Personal Credit Card is the more popular of the two credit cards but it also has some lower thresholds to gain the sign up bonuses. The American Express Platinum Business Credit Card also has some less offerings than the Amex Platinum Personal Credit Card.
In this video, I go over both the American Express Business Platinum and the American Express Personal Platinum and I review the benefits of each card. In some cases, it is good to have both the Amex Business Platinum and the Amex Personal Platinum.

Business platinum because 50% more points and no charge for additional card holders using the green card on the account for employees that do not need the travel benefits for employees that travel for my business I provide the platinum

Im new to Amex since Nov. Got the Business Platinum for business, and the Gold for personal. I got 130k bonus points on the platinum and 75k bonus on the gold already. Also since I spent over $75k on the platinum I get to keep the 2 free guests at centurion lounges until Jan 24' and once i spend another $75k this year that will extend to Jan 25'. There was a cool benefit where if pay amextravel flight w/ points you get 35% of those points back, good for each calendar year. So just at the end of Dec I booked flights for March (doesn't matter when the flights just when paid), so now ill be able to get another 35% back with a flight booked this year. Its great for a construction business like mine cuz materials get 1.5x points and I spend a lot on materials. The Gold is awesome for groceries and dining, which with this Platinum/Gold combo I got I really feel like Im winning. Thanks for the videos, they've helped

I have the platinum now and just got the gold card. Paying another 695 for the business is a stretch to me considering the perks aren't that much. Sounds like it just a way to divide business and personal expenses and that's it. Awesome review. I was always curious about this. If I were to get a business CC from amex it would probably be the AMEX business plus. $0 annual fee and if you're a small business its easier to manage. One time I did notice that I have no idea exist is, not only is their a centurion business but also a centurion corp card as well, I can ONLY imagine who cares that around.

Thank you for the video very informative. The only reason I got the Platinum Card was for my wife so that she could enjoy the lounges and we also use the hotel credits because I never take her in anything less than a four-star but when I'm by myself I don't need a lounge and Tom bodett said he would leave a light on for me

Simon as always another insightful comparison. Personally, the true humor not intentionally meant by you , that the Centurion Business card isn’t more attractive, what does AMEX have lose??? Think about it! On the personal side you already have the sought after unobtainable , Urban Legend card of all time , but you made it cache on the business side

Great review Simon. I do not have the Platinum yet as I’m not traveling, but I’m planning to upgrade it next year. Definitely it is a great card if you know how to use it. Starting in Feb/23 those credit card holder who did not spend at least 75k in a calendar year will have their guess to pay $50 to use the centurion lounge and $30 per kid over 2yo. I believe that the Business version of these card apply for business with a high spend not for a small business and Amex has good credit cards for those. Does the reward in your business card combined with your personal reward program?

Do a personal centurion vs business centurion if you wouldn't mind. I think I read somewhere that the business centurion is better because it rebates back some points or something on travel but I could be mistaken.

Platinum and Gold serve two different purposes. The Platinum isn't really for everyday spend. I have the Charles Schwab Platinum and the Vanilla Platinum but my Gold gets way more everyday spend. I only use the Platinum cards when traveling.

Simon is right, get the blue business plus, no annual fee and it earns 2x per dollar for the first $50,000 spent in a calendar year and has a welcome bonus of $3000 spend for 15,000 MR points in the first 3 months of card membership and it keeps your points alive. If you don't, you will lose your points forever.

The Business Platinum lets you cash out MR points at 1.0 cents per point into an Amex Business Checking account. My understanding is that there is no minimum redemption for cashing out your points this way. So you should be able to redeem only 1 MR point for $0.01.

We give platinum card to employees that travel for our business as thank you for time away from family, issue green or gold to non travel employees, use spend limit feature, block all cash advance, we front $500 petty cash day prior to trip so employees don’t use their money and wait for reimbursement on pay cycle

The American Express Platinum Business is $1750.00 pa in Australia. The dark side of Australia, to any one who can afford to come here. It’s a very expensive country to visit.
