By viewer and SIU nation request, we are BACK investigating #Indian treats - this time various #sweets from #India! We got lots of requests for this one and took as many of SIU nation's suggestions to get a variety of sweets and drinks to try. We had a lot of fun visiting our local Indian market and got lots of help there with what to get. Will anything pass #jalebi for us as the tastiest? Will we like #lychee juice? What exactly is Laddu? Are #Rasgulla and Gulab Jamun related? Can an #almond milk drink with chunks of almonds in it be good? Tune in and find out as we investigate some of the sweets of India!
SUBSCRIBE AND JOIN THE SNACK INVESTIGATION UNIT!

@rahulr1305

It's probably because it was frozen. Cold ladoos are gross mostly because the ghee solidifies and it becomes kinda greasy. Even when it's defrosted, the freezing process really destroys the ladoos texture. Also sometimes the sugar crystallises and that's weird although I haven't seen it happen with mootichoor ladoos. Source: Used to live abroad in my childhood and so we'd bring a looot of sweets from India every vacation and then we'd eat it for months. And obviously after the first 2 weeks we had to put it in the fridge/freezer.

Guys I think you should definitely come to India after this Covid situation is over. When you’ll taste freshly made sweets or street food you’ll forget these....because mostly every sweet in India is made to be eat freshly and the canned ones neither have that flavour nor the texture in comparison to freshly made. Also try making it at home, my mom says food tastes better when you make it on your own, and you’ll understand Indian cuisine more. Some suggestions; Try Desi Chinese (easy to make at home) Maggi special masala (you loved maggi in pervious video) South Indian food (specially coconut chutney) Kabab and all And many more dishes because what you have tried till now is not even 1% of the Indian cuisine. Also Indian cuisine in not limited to Butter chicken, shahi paneer, dal makhni, etc. Indian cuisine have that many dishes that if you try one different dish everyday you’ll have spend more than lifetime trying everything dishes. Every Indian dish have it’s own story to tell. So try to come to India and explore our culture. FYI India is the country of colours, festivals, cuisine, religion, spices, story and languages. Every kitchen in India has it’s own recipes, dishes and modified dishes. There’s so much to explore about India and in India. Indian can write a whole book if asked to write an essay on India, so this comment is a rice grain compared to the knowledge every Indian have of our country.

I think it's ok as we have different pallets to not like the texture or taste sometimes. Ok now time for suggestions (sweet) (definitely messy😂) 1. Firni (round shaped, looks like a bird's nest) very famous indian festival sweet dish 2. Mishri mawa (best, made from milk) 3. Kalakand (sweet cum cake) Some snacks 1. Bhelpuri 2. Try maggi and cook it for 6-7 min atleast. 3. U can try our Knor manchow soup if you can get a packet in store. 4. Try poha/upma Recommended - Do a live while on a store. We will tell u what shud and shudnt u purchase. LOVE FROM 🇮🇳

Our associations with sweets form templates (chocolatish, candy, fudge, etc.) early in our lifetimes, which might make it difficult to make sense of sweets beyond those templates later in life. Moreover, the richness and complexities of Indian sweets are extremely tied to their regional histories and geographies. It's like eating a burger from the vending machine and judging all burgers from that. This was meant to last for a bit of time and consumed at any time. Sweets have perishable ingredients and its best to consume it fresh. It will have the best taste, and least amount of preservatives, additives and dyes. Hit up the local Indian restaurant, and check out their sweets(some of them will have their own section as they will make sweets daily). For me I never ever liked Gulab Jamun, until I had it fresh and I loved it since. Do another one with fresh sweets. It's night and day for taste. :)

Here's a trick... Take a palm sized bowl... Crush that Ladoo with hands (don't turn it into paste). No problem if there's uneven pieces... Mix it with Bikaji's or Haldiram's Bhujia (the flour one, not Aloo Bhujia) with atleast 1:2 ratio. The Bhujia should take around 2 times more space than the crushed ladoo.... Enjoy it with spoon... We call it Boondia Bhujia...

Red one's are super super famous in india and sonpapdi should be eaten in a plate or a small bowl. Its taste like cotton candy.

Being an Indian.. I am simply loving how innocently you are trying to compare things to what you can best recall.. Like Laddu being "Definitely Cake". Best wishes to you.. Keep growing..

Moti chur laddoos are made with runny gram flour put through a strainer with large holes in it in a pot of hot oil and those drops of flour batter forms into tiny yellow balls. These balls are then soaked in sugar syrup with a bit of cardamom powder and saffron. Once it soaks the syrup. They are made into small balls aka laddoos which you are guys having ❤😋

Love this video and the other two before this as well. Kurkure is omnipresent throught india, and it's among the most fav indian snacks. Also comes with multiple different flavours. Apart from that, the sweets, every region of India has some sweets which are very specific to that region, some might love it some might not. But jalebi, gulab jamun, soan papdi are among those which you can find almost every where. Litchi is lychee fruit. Lastly, you pronounced Chikki perfectly ! Can't wait for the next video
