It looked good, but a bit over the top salty? Capers, olives AND anchovies! I'd imaging soaking some of those things in water would reduce the salt quite a bit.
I've tasted halibut and they taste very good .....wish there were some where I live ..... I'd catch my own .....instead of buying them .....they're very expensive ......I call them supersized flounders.
They only give you 1 square piece of fish??? What a rip. You can't show up to this restaurant hungry. You do that your bank account gonna be hungry right after you leave
Хрень какая-то ! За 4 кусочка издеваться над крупным палтусом? А не проще и кодовые все такое же только рыба филе минтая! И здоровее и быстрее приготовить, а горелое сливочное масло в сковородке это приговор шефу на увольнения!
I've been in the Samuels & Son seafood processing facility. it is more than clean, professionals fulfilling every task and a gem. I used to sell them packaging labels. My best to all.
I been on an Uncle Ben's Wild Rice kick lately. takes 25 minutes to make, but it is delicious. use it to accompany my Coq Au Vin. you got to simmer this box mix lid on til it starts getting dry and just begins to stick to the pot bottom. shut off the heat, lead the lid on and wait 10 minutes before serving. the moisture reabsorbs equally throughout the rice.
Magnifica preparación e ingredientes sabrosos, lo que me sorprende es que todavia existan fletanes tan grandes, con la pesca tan intensiva que soportan los mares
Absolutely Stunning! Philly Girl retired in VA. here, I haven't seen anything that huuuuuge! You've got mad knife skills! Is there a recipe? Did I see capers, green olives, roasted pine nuts, I know there's more...I will re-watch till I get it right. Bon Appétit!
That dish looks so delicious. Halibut looks exactly like flounder that we have in New Zealand waters, flounder is a bottom feeder and I presume halibut is too. In that Alaskan fishermen's documentary of a few years ago, shows that halibut can put up a fierce fight when hooked and can turn small boats over.
You don't catch these like a normal fish. First you need about a 1,250 reel and pole, then you caste it out and the fish grabs the bait. You don't do nothing but wait. He will run out about 200 yards with it in his mouth then he will stop. Then he will chew and hook himself. Then you start fighting him in, but not too hard or he will get away and fight too hard. Wear him down and eventually get him reeled all the way in. If you try to set the hook you lose.
At 14:44 I was waiting for a sauce to be spooned over the fish...and my mind was chanting "Please just serve it as is" and they did, so nice to see the simplicity - So I looked up Samuels in Philadelphia and they are an hour away...Giuseppe's Market sells to go ... Is there a sit down? I am dying to go there and have lunch!
tried to make a breaded fish sandwich out of a nice piece of seabass. absolutely ruined the seabass. got to stick to cod for fish sandwiches I believe. but you know I heard when McDonalds first came out with their fish sandwich they actually used halibut. think they use sawdust and soy protein now. been years since dining at the clown's
I caught a 40 pound halibut out by Chiswell Rocks, south of Seward AK. I was the only person to catch a halibut on that 6 pack charter, plus I was the only female fisher on board. The captain was female, too. This was back in the1980s, using the MWR facility belonging to the military. All those other fishermen had to satisfy their fishy wishes with a few red snapper. No salmon were harmed on that trip, and I had a blast!
