Everytime I listen to some early 00s pop-punk, I immediately get to a summer mood. I mean, I don't even think about it, mentally I'm just there. Love that feeling.
Ah the days when the only things me and my friends cared about were girls, getting a summer job, a car, comic books, homework, video games, our favourite shows.
How can you not smile, bob your head, and sing along when hearing this? Music like this is why 90s and early 00s kids had smiles on their faces growing up :)
Cos sometimes I need something heavier, chuggier, angrier, deeper, sadder, slower or something else. This is one flavour of ice cream. That's it. Probably vanilla.
This was my “theme song” every morning back in high school. Literally every morning when my friend picked me up for school he had this song playing...it was as if we were on a tv show and this song was the opening credits. High school...time of your life that doesn’t last a lifetime
I've been looking for this song and music video for close to 20 years. I only remembered the music video, no lyrics. Tried describing the video to everyone, tried searching for it in every way possible. I finally just found it. I found it. OMG. I found it.
I was a Freshman in HS in 1986 (1986 Heavy Metal parking Lot) in 1990 at age 18 me & buddy drove from Illinois to Landover MD to the Capitol Center Arena (actual 1986 HMPL location) to see my first Grateful Dead show (March spring tour of 1990) I had no idea about Heavy Metal Parking until years later....Why I am telling you, I have no idea.
@@c0pyimitati0n I used the term "pop punk", it's not punk. And I do what I want, that is the punk spirit. I listened to so much hardcore punk such as black flag or bad brains, I don't think someone has to tell me what's punk and what's not
@@tracy1210 ok but there's absolutely nothing punk rock about this band lol I guess you could call Blink 182 "pop punk" because at least they had songs under a minute and embraced the idgaf punk lifestyle
Miss American Hi-Fi.....this was my go to song during my college days.....the T with jeans and converse shoes....those were cool days....now im 36......still rocking....🤘
This song randomly popped up in my head after damn near 20 years of not hearing it. I totally forgot about this song, and now it will forever be in the archive.
I remember they always played this song on my local radio station right after the starburst taffy commercials. Early 00’ were legit awesome with snacks and beverages!
For some reason old music like this is all I’ve been listening to lately. I’m tired of the same old rap and pop songs they come out with and I fucking miss this type of music. Please come backkkkk. This song and Simple Plan’s Your Love is a Lie have been on like repeat whenever I listen to music when I’m driving. It just makes me happy. And makes me miss like late 90’s to 2010/11.
When I heard this song at first time, I was just shocked and instantly falling in love with this song. My platoon leader and I played this song over and over again when we had OP detail. Good old days!
Jon Samuel Your lucky you had good stuff like this when you were in high school. When I was in high school everyone liked rap or the regatone trash that had the same beat in every song.
SAME! Spent my high school years in San Diego from 96-2001. The music and the era and the vibe and energy was incredible back then. I with i could go back.
I have a 14 yr old girl now. Females are so complicated. Just like me 😁. Sometimes I want to blame everything on my hormones even when its not bc its funny.some times I can't even control them and it sucks. Other times I really just dont let anyone know looking around like holy sh why is everyone b'n for? Im raggin and im not even complaining much. Just felt like sharing. Anywho, I find it a teeny bit humorous how my kid gets into music now & possibly has crushes. Shes a little bit younger than me when this came out. I remember telling Drew parsons I thought he was cute. He said thanks you too. It was so loud I couldn't really hear him. He put up a finger like hold on, pointed at their poster and wrote something like I think you're cute too. I kind of forget that ever happened but it never really left me.
@@andrewvoorhees2140 not really. Considerate guys used to get the girl usually right under the "dicks" nose. Though, I'm older now we didn't have social media.
@@gigalord8165 Dude there's neat little button(s) they give everyone that visits the site, are you ready or should I give you a minute or two so you can find a crayon to write with?
I saw these guys when I was in highschool 02-03 somewhere in there in Alfred NY and they were by far the best band that night , it's strange hearing them 20 years later
