I wondered why Nate stopped uploading these videos....I guess this is might explain why. I love that we're now expanding to include other series hosted by other magicians, scam NATION indeed

This is perfect Shwood. You can only do so much BY yourself, AS yourself. (Yourself being your team of course.) Bringing other magicians, editing Style, teams, etc is going to make this channel something very special and unique. I'm glad to see what will come out of this, and future, shows!

I thought I'd watch one of your interviews again tonight for some fun before I sleep, and to my surprise I found one I'd never watched before (this one!). It's oddly wonderful to find this after the series is over; it feels like it is new again. :) Loved this interview! I ran across DePonto online several years ago. If I ever make it to NYC, I'd love to see him perform live.

So EXCITED for this new series! My own interest in magic is not the tricks but the storytelling, the thought behind the moment. So while I am NOT a magician, as an English teacher and fiction writer, this is exactly the kind of content that excites me. Thank you Brian for echoing Nate's series AND for announcing Here is Real Magic which I both taught from AND learned a great deal from.

I like this idea, sort of “Parts Unknown” but with magic instead of food. Something I hope this series touches on is how to build a routine, how to pick your tricks, put them in order and such.

Yeah, I *s t u d i e d* Bourdain's work. Even brought an episode into Final Cut to deconstruct it, just to understand how they made such a miraculously good show. I tried really hard not to rip off their style, but it's tough not to be inspired by that kind of filmmaking. As for routine building, we'll get there. Have you seen episode 2? Garrett has some good thoughts about choosing magic for each individual spectator. Anyway, thanks for watching. Let me know what you think of the rest of the series.

I haven’t gotten that far yet, but I also hadn’t seen your channel before this series. I think I’ve seen some videos where Brian mentions your name with some tricks, though. I’m definitely going to check out the rest! I’ve only recently found out about ScamNation and I watched MisMag822 way back in high school for a while, and I’m remembering how much I love this kind of performance. Who knows, maybe magic is the field I’m actually meant for?

I think that's at one of those parks where there's no expectation of permanence. Like every day everything gets painted over by other artists.

Yeah, don't worry. You'll get the whole story in episode 5, but it's at an art park where the whole place is open for anyone to paint. I'm sure my own contribution wasn't up for more than a day or two before someone else painted over it. Rightfully so, too, as it didn't exactly turn out the way I intended.
