3:27 - That's not a bus, it might look similar to a tram but it's a lift. It only goes up and down between point A and point B to transport people (mostly) up the hill. 🙂 3:52 - Those are clouds, in case you're wondering. There are various points across the Madeira island where you can be above them. 9:13 - Just like Madeira, the Azores are a volcanic archipelago, which means there are volcanos, one of them is currently still active. What you see in this clip is one of the craters of extinct volcanos that Nature turned into lakes or lagoons. The Azores is also the only place in Europe where tea can be grown naturally. It's a nice place to live, if you don't mind living in an island, with a more humid and constantly overcast type of weather and lots of seismic activity. 🙂 Note: some of the footage he used is not from Portugal.
On the chapter "Great value for money"... Forget that part, probably that video is older. Nowadays, mainly in the biggest cities like Lisbon and Porto it is expensive. The prices for restaurants, bars, etc are high, even for people from countries with a highest GDP per capita. The prices are really getting high, making life for nationals more difficult. And if we consider the real estate prices nowadays, they are really high.... They are on levels like any other big city around the world in richest countries.

Portugal is a safe country, but if you go to a tourist destination you have a lot pickpockets and some scamers the must common is try to sell you fack drugs. Thinks are relatively cheap normally you can have a full meal for like 10€ but in tourist areas can be 30/40€ or more, but normally the restaurants have the menu with the prices on the door. But if you like home food you can go to McDonald's for 5/6€ 😁. If you are in a city probably everyone under 30 years old know basic english. But i dont agree that Portugal are not saturated with tourists, if you compare with Rome, Venice or Paris yes Portugal have less tourist, but in same places he have a lot they are so many that everyone talks to you in english first.
Portugal is an ideal holiday destination. To work and live is more complicated, unless you have a well-paid profession. As we don't have many millionaires, we also don't have many people sleeping on the streets. As having a gun is extremely difficult, violent crime is also very rare. Many Americans may be apprehensive because the government is of the Socialist party and the parliament has a left-wing majority, with socialists and communists. And those who have visited us or live here, have already realized that socialism is no bogeyman and can even be a pleasant experience. Just watch the youtube channels of Americans who live here.

Try and live and work in Portugal and you will know if it´s that cheap. Month rent cheap??? everything can be done in a single day??? that is a huge lie... 10 to 20 euros per night???? ohhh dear... i wish... rent a car is expensive as anywhere in Europe.
