Pavarotti is the Master! I never fail to get chills. He sings with such deep emotion! Does anyone really need words to get it? It speaks to your soul and I always weep a little with the joy he brings to me with his voice.

One of my favourite songs of all time, ever since I first heard it during the BBC's Italia 90' World Cup coverage. Luciano is one of my fave singers, and him singing this live never fails to bring the goosebumps. Incredible song, and loved your reaction! :)

This man gave a concert in Central Park in 1993 that drew a public of 500,000 people. He sang for 40 years and most people didnt know what he was singing about but it didnt matter.

Pavarotti actually looks a lot like actor John Rhys-Davies (back in the 1990s and 2000s). With Nessun Dorma I love how at the end with the crescendo you can still hear Pavarotti's voice over the orchestra.

the song is an Italian opera that tells the story of a Chinese princess and her pretended prince. the song is called no one sleeps (in Italian) the princess put 3 enigmas to her suitors and if they don't answer them she will cut off their heads. but the protagonist of the song (the prince) has been able to answer her riddles and he gives her a riddle. find out her name. but the princess decrees that no one will sleep until she finds out. I was there that night at Dodger Stadium seeing the Three Tenors. Unbelievable performances by all of them but Luciano's Nessum Dorma gives me chills every time I hear him sing it.

Funnily enough, I had no interest in either football or opera music before Italia 90', but that tournament gave me an appreciation for both things. The way Luciano brings this song to a close is just breathtaking, a legendary voice for sure.

A little help w-his first name -- Loo-chee-AH-no. While other tenors have great voices, what set Luciano apart from everyone else was the emotion & passion that he exuded like no other. It is why he is so loved to this day. Thanks. You can Google the words to the song which was from an opera written by Puccini (1858-1924). The words Nessun Dorma means no one sleeps.

This song brings a tear to my eye, it brings back memories of the 1990 World Cup, the belief that this was to be England's year.
