American's FIRST Reaction to K-Pop [4Minute - "Hot Issue", "HuH", & "Volume Up"] 

2NE1 and 4Minute were the girl group queens for me back in the day. Volume Up is still such a great jam. Couple of my other favourite 4Minute videos are Crazy and Hate

I'm so happy that you seeing my recommendation ♡. 4Minute was the first group I was really a fan of, and they were the first ones that introduced me to the world of kpop, so they have a very special place in my heart. So thank you so much for doing the react My intention in recommending hot issue and huh was exactly to observe the evolution of the group when reaching Volume Up (which is definitely their best song), but even after Volume Up the group continued to grow and evolve their musical style, this can be seen in Mirror Mirror (2011), Crazy (2015) and their last song Hate (2016). Some fun facts about the group: Beast's participation in the track Who's Next is due to the fact that both groups are from the same company: Cube Entertainemente, being the company's first groups. They have another collaboration in a highly successful unit called ''Trouble Maker'' which brings together a Beast member (Hyunseung) and a 4Minute member (Hyuna) in a sexy concept that brought a lot of controversy and hits at the time. This is the second group (the first being the wonder girls) that Hyuna was a part of and it's the one she stayed with the longest, Hyuna is one of the most successful solists of the second generation, she promoted solo while in the group. (Suggestions for her songs: Change (her debut), Bubble Pop (her most famous hit) and Lip an Hip (her last song in the Cube Entertainment) The last single of the group ''Hate'' (2016) has a part of its production made by Skrillex.

For 4Minute, I like Mirror Mirror, and the bside Canvas the best. You might also like 9Muses and Sistar. Sistar is an especially good group to check out around now as they are known for being summer queens, so you could mix some of their more elegant concepts with their brighter summer songs.

1. Yes, it was a real snake. On some variety show, the other members said that Gayoon loved that snake, and it weirded them out. Gayoon is also the one hitting that high note. 2. If you are planning on continuing with 4Minute, you will undoubtedly be watching "Crazy" (I think this is their most popular video) and "Hate" (their valedictory video - produced by Skrillex), among others. There are two other videos, however, that are a bit different from most of their stuff: "Heart to Heart" came out in 2011, and it has 4Minute doing a rare "cute" concept. "Cold Rain" is a ballad with a music video that came out on the same album as "Volume Up." 3. If you want something really off-beat, 4Minute had a single-song subunit called 2Yoon (because it was a duo of Gayoon and Jiyoon). Their song was titled "24/7," and it draws inspiration, believe it or not, from American country music.
