My Flushometer has been leaking from the handle assembly, where the handle's socket connects to the plunger. I haven't seen any video's with the issue, I am planning to replace the handle assembly completely but I was not sure if that's the sole issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
Thanks for watching. If you're replacing the entire handle assembly then the new one should seal nicely with no problems. You could also try cleaning the individual parts of the old handle. Any rubber that is worn down might affect the seal so in that case you'd want to replace the entire handle.
Hi Dave, thank you for watching. It doesn't look like the inner parts are available or they would be listed on this parts sheet. Only the handle assembly is listed. www.americanstandard.ca/-/media/sites/asca/files/parts/all-parts-english/parts/partssheetsen-6047162.pdf?la=en
Nice video. You show how to replace the inner pieces but then say they are not available. They seem to wear out fairly quick. And the whole assembly is a bit expensive. I have taken these apart and cleaned and gthem
Thanks for watching. RU-vid has auto filters that is outside of our control. We often don't see if a comment was removed. We do have a filter for profanity so some messages will be flagged and we can choose to auto enable. We do carry many parts but not all parts are available it depends on the model. Cleaning the assembly is never hurts. After cleaning are you still having issues with the flushometer?
@@AmreSupply I was not using profanity. RU-vid is brutal with posts now. My text was turning red as I was commenting on a flush valve. I have 2 of these and they look good but I soak them in vinegar and use plummers grease. They look good but leak and don't operate smooth. I just got another one to try. They should have a rebuild kit
@@tristanwwsd Its hard to know why some comments don't go through, we don't have any control over that and we don't see when comments are rejected unless if goes through the language filter. There are handle assemblies from American Standard but they are harder to find. If you do some searching online you might be able to narrow one down.
