I am glad I found you guys as well. My afternoon watering hole as been without one of its urinals for 6weeks. The manager said that the plumbing company had to order a complete valve assembly for him because the water constantly so he turned it off. I found the part in town, bought it, watched you other vido on the flush valve, showed up with the new complete unit and wound up just installing the flush valve out it. less than 5minute fix he had been waiting 6 weeks for. Large chain bars should not get into these corporate repair contracts. I have replaced the flush valve in the comlete unit i bought and now we have parts incase this happens again on site... next fixed in 6minutes not 6 weeks. Thanks guys. We will order the sloan repair kits from you to have on hand

You're welcome! Yes the bypass hole can be a problem. As well the diaphragm rubber can wear down so that is the next thing to check. Lastly check to see if there is a buildup of minerals or if there is any corrosion below the diaphragm as this can prevent a good seal.
One tip is to count the number of turns it takes to close the control stop so when you turn it back on you dont have to guess at it when you turn it back on.
Thanks for watching. If you've installed a new handle and tightened it into place and it still leaks, then it could be an issue with the threads. If there is any corrosion or a mineral buildup on the threads then you might need to clean it for it to make a better seal.

Question! Ive replaced thr entire handle, but now it is almost impossible to flush. Is there something wrong inside the urinal? What should i check next?

I'm so glad I found you guys! These videos are really helpful, thank you so much! Unfortunately, I still need some clarification. Does a "short flush" refer to an "incomplete flush?" I know I don't have a clog, but sometimes not everything gets flushed. Based on your videos, I think I would need to replace the handle, right?

There are a couple other factors to consider, like if the control stop is partially closed or if there is low water pressure to the fixture. Hi! So I bought replacement handle assembly from you guys, & I replaced handle thanks to your video! But now the handle leaks when I flush 🤦♀️ I took handle off to make sure the ring was properly set in place, but handle still leaks when I flush. What did I do wrong?
@@monicamikol1134 Hi Monica, there are several things that you should check. With the handle removed, check to see if there is any corrosion or damage to the handle threads. That could interfere with the seal. If there is a mineral buildup then you can use a rag soaked in vinegar to help dissolve it. A wire brush can also be used to clean the threads. If the threads look good, and the washer is properly aligned then you might just need to tighten the handle a little bit more. Hope this helps!
Thanks for watching. There is often a flow rate printed on the side of the toilet or urinal. Urinals have a significantly lower flow rate, so those are usually 1 gpf. Some toilets are designed for 3.5 gal but there are low flow toilets that are compatible with 1.6 gpf flushometers. The sloan regal flushometers look very similar so to find a match, you'll have to look at the diaphragm color and relief valve. Thanks crystineVIDEO. The tightness of the coupling won't effect the force needed to flush the handle. Its best to start by replacing the whole handle assembly. @@AmreSupply Needed on the handle, not just the gasket and needed on the flat part of the handle to lessen the amount of wear from metal on metal. Valves come pre-greased on those areas.
