Yes, hired guns! I remember playing this with four mates. Two On the same keyboard, one on mouse and one on joy stick. Loads of fun, didnt notice how Cramped we were!

Syndicate! I poured so much of my childhood into that game, lol. "Tax? 100%!!!! What do you mean they're not happy?! I got guns to buy!" Also, remember Walker on the Amiga? It was awesome! I'm so glad I found this channel. Brings back such good memories. Mortgage free times.

I loved p.p hammer, ruff&tumble, superfrog, magic pockets, Rolling Ronny and the obviously Amazing Alien breed, chaos engine, gods and Rick Dangerous.

You can actually play a newer version of Bomb Jack now that is near arcade perfect too. The official Amiga version was a train wreck but this newer one is fantastic.

One game I have loads of memories of is a game called Megaball. My mum who was not interested in gaming at all for some reason loved that game and played it for so many hours. I remember coming home from school many times and seeing her play it and she even managd to complete it as well which amazed me!

Omg I loved North and south, the time I spent on that as a kid. I also loved Buggy boy and Full contact which might be worth a look. Great content btw!!! need to get me an A500 mini asap!!

Great Video... Lemmings and Syndicate were instant 'must haves' for my mini... 1 unsung hero of my Amiga Childhood was "Shufflepuck Cafe". It was a game everyone I knew had and played alot... even though it was a simple concept for a game. Enjoy... "Bugbomber" was another because it was 4 player (2 joysticks and 2 players on the keys) me and my siblings played this for months like it was a Amiga answer to bomberman... before we realised you can lay your own eggs and create your own bugs... (both work on the A500 mini) thanks for sharing 👍

Great video as always, sorry not related to the video as such, but what are the screens in the background when you are talking directly to the camera. The ones displaying the graphics, I would love to get some for the office but can't find them. Thanks for your help. Dungeon Master and Populous were some of my favourites.

The North and Sourh game looks like it is running alittle to high clock speed. I have seen this with several games on the A500 mini.

Did you have to mess with controller settings before playing these. Only tried couple of games over usb so far but they need me to adjust controls which I’m struggling to sort out.

16 year old me - aced Pang in half a day. 46 year old me - can't get passed the 2nd level. but it's coming back fast. Hybris and apidya need to be on your a500 mini if not already. love the mini but I play on original hardware : )

Nice. I have an amiga 500 plus with a gotek and zipstick joystick. The gotek has been essential. Great bit of kit. Good work on the channel btw : )

If you've never heard of it, I recommend the game Tower of Babel. It's a 3D puzzle game. You have to satisfy the goals of each level using three robotic spiders. They can be controlled directly, or you can program them to execute a sequence of moves. Sometimes you will need to do this with multiple spiders in order to solve the level. The camera can sometimes be a problem, but there are multiple views available.

You should do a playthrough of Hired Guns..it's hard but it's fun. Also I hope they make mod tools like they did on Snes mini so we can have pictures for all the news games etc..

Check out Fusion by Bull Frog software. It was the demo game I played years ago with the magazine I bought and loved it. A great little shooter you should look. Cheer!

A couple of others that spring to mind are Populous and SWIV. I tried my PS4 controller i had lying around but it didn't work to well, faulty I think so I got a cheap 3rd party one from GAME and it works great. Need to see about adding on extra games at some point.

I used to play Flying Shark a lot in the arcades - Banshee has that flavour. Why don't you try games that were great on the 8 bit machines, such as Arkanoid, Barbarian, Starglider, Bombjack, Star Wars? There's also new homebrew such as the new Bombjack. Teris Pro was a PD game, and Cabinet Asteroids is old school mame style gaming.

@@TheGebs24 I know the story behind GGS, and it involved “The Big N” threatening to sue the company that produced GGS for copyright infringement. This is why GGS was pulled suddenly from the market. Could you still play it on your channel if you have it?

I'm having issues with my inbuilt games, Project X is a mess, the loading music doesn't play, then the craft flickers and can hardly be seen for about 7 seconds. The best bug is you fight the level 1 boss and then it disappears and the GUI and it just hangs ... I have already emailed Retro Games poor execution I think.

That is weird. Did you try a factory reset? I think altering the advanced settings if you did may have messed something up.

In 1988 - I had an Atari 65XE and XC12 and in 1990 - I bought an Amiga 500, later in 1993 A-1200 in 1995 the first PC 486DX-4 / 100mhz-I come back to Amiga games every now and then. Not much of a playtest when it comes to complex games like Hired Guns and Syndicate, where reading the manual is essential.

The save game "hack" isnt a hack. Save games just let a person access the configuration file of UAE. The mini is just a linux machine running UAE. Save games give access to the configuration file. You just need to enable the gui in the config file, which lets you insert adfs, or add them directly to the config file. It has zero effect on the machine outside of using that one save game slot. It also lets you increase the emulated Amiga to have 170MB RAM, add a gfx card to the Amiga, and to use hdfs or directory based partitions. The guides going around arent great. None of them even touch on half the features. You can emulate a 1ghz 68030 with the mini, but no-one except myself seems to be doing these sorts of things. Ive shared this information on the facebook group though, so its slowly, but surely making its way around. After messing around with it, and initially having a blast I've come to see it as very half baked. The configuration is terrible, extremely subpar. It can run Alienbreed 3d perfectly, at a stable 60fps, but the default confif makes it run at an unconsistent 12-20fps. Heck, the machine can run quake at 60fps, but the machine is so badly configured it cant even run a game with 1/10th the requirements at 30. Even standard a500 games run mediocre. Scrolling isnt as smooth as it could/should be, sound breaks up, its a bit unstable and so on. Absolutely zero effort product. I wish I was joking when I said its difficult to make configs that run as poorly on the exact same machine.

If you want to nitpick then anything can be gotten at. For me it’s about fun and taking me back to my childhood.
