Useful video, I bought the kit and straight forward job with the right tools, but I’m not sure the larger beads is an improvement on the original size, perhaps this is to do with availability.
2014 autobiography Loads of problems on dash intelligent braking not working cruise control not working besides warning signs , bought the kit and fitted except one o ring missing on solanoid emailed them and they are sending a new set out , everything works now all warnings and cruise control and ibs working , before finding 4x4 rang all Land Rover dealers and none would sell kit and would only supply new compressor 5 star service
Hi Just fitted the kit you posted - many thanks. Will be refitting in the morning but have one quick question. At 4.30 minutes you refer to a seal but it's not in the kit. Not needed to be replaced?
On average changing the compressor air dryer filtration and air dryer solenoid can solve pumping issues and venting issues but on occasion if the vehicle as suffered a air leak this will have cause damage to the piston seals within the amk cylinder and the problem with this ! in our view is the amk piston as been designed not to be able to be removed with great difficulty causing customers to buy new units and this is a big problem for the normal diy mechanic and the main reason we dont supply piston seals 95% of customer will not be able to remove the piston without breaking the piston ! Wear r currently working on a solution to help customers disassemble the piston ! Not a easy task in our experience. Thanks
If u get any slight air leaks on land rover air suspension models this causes the air compressor to over run which in turn cause the life ofvthe compressor to be dramatically reduced ! The key is to keep the air compressor serviced in terms of the air dryer filtration and repair any air leaks when they arise , periodically check how often the compressor runs when vehicle is ticking over on level ground without going up n down with air suspension! The compressor should only generally run a couple of times during a 15 minute tick over period generally if their r any leaks on the vehicle then the compressor will cycle more and cause heat build up in the compressor which then reduces life span of the components within the compressor ! On hitachi air compressors always replace the air dryer end cap as they r a week link from new causing a leak , hopevtbis info helps. Thanks
