@CREARTEJOYAS Yes. You need to create a dual tone on the X3 Live and use the expression pedal to morph or blend the models back and forth.

@mariosapm This actually morphs amp models within a dual tone patch. The models can be the same (just dialed in differently) or completely different all together.

@Chessguitar I don't know about the rest of US, but here in Los Angeles, the temperature is usually very warm and majority of the time sunny out :)

the way he's using it in this video is kinda like A/B switching between two amps, which is kool. It would've been even cooler though if he would've blended the tones abit more :P

@kiwiboyriff I'm not sure how Kevin set this up. I can try to see if he remembers, but in regards to micing or direct to PA I'd actually recommend direct to PA from XLR outs as well as 1/4" Live outs from the POD into his amp on stage for stage monitoring purposes.

@thescowlingschnauzer The POD HD500 supports dual tones and will allow you to do this.

Nice vids dude. I see you have an x3 live going to a Spider Valve 212. Can you explain how you patched this with your amp settings? I'm not overly happy with what i get from through amp vs headphones. Also re gigs would you mic the amp or use the direct out feature with amp monitor? Thanks.

my short board's expression pedal can control this? i have the X-3 bean version w/ a fbv shortboard w/ expression pedal ...just wondering

Now that the X3 Live is no longer in production, are there any other products that can be used for amp morphing? I was very interested in gradual changes from one amp sound to another thru a expression pedal, and I can't find word for it but "amp morphing" which appears to be exclusive to Line6.

How can you have two different amps in the same tone? and if i'm using dual tone, how will i use the expression pedal?

@wsjunior You cannot have 3 modulation effects active at once.

Yes, you can plug this straight into an amp. That's how I have it set up, straight into either a Valve Jr or a Fender Frontman 25R. Set the "Live Out Level" switch to "Amp" and you're set to go. You can even send the output to two amps at the same time, as the POD X3 Live has two separate mono outputs for left and right, and you can send different modeled signal chains to each of them.

when im playing the clean part i always can hear the distortion in the background. whats the problem?
