Line 6 POD X3 Live Out Of The Box In Gearwire Studio 

Finally what I always expected from Gearwire... another dude who just says "Screw packaging and manuals, we wanna see the pedal!"

A lot of this is built in to the Line 6 Spider Jam. Great amp. Very underrated.

I'm not suggesting the x3 wins tonally by a long shot but I am saying its better but not by much!!! A Musically untrained ear I dont believe if all presets were same on each unit would be able to tell the difference, but may I add the X3 live's wahs suck really bad I've tried them. The looper is very cool in the GT-10, I still love the GT-10 and believe me it still knows how to rock- just as much as the x3 live one last thing the GT-10's tones are alot!!!more tweakable then the x3 live's

My POD X3 Live freezed in the middle of a play. It happens twice. The 1st one, i had to re-install the firmware. 2nd time, i had to re-calibrate the vol pedal. Imagine, suddenly no sounds in a middle of a GIG. Functions are good overall.

The features are awesome. But again, because of what happened, i don't feel comfortable using it live in a sensitive gig. So far, it's been ok now, (happened only 3 times). My advice is to read some comments in theLine 6 website.

you plug your guitar in to the input of the pod. you then send a cable from the speaker out of the pod to the input of your amp

GT-10 out plays the x3 in effects but the line 6 has better tonal quality, im view the gt-10 sounds very nice still!!

Depends on your level of tone recognition. If you're not that bothered about your tone, and being dazzled by a harmonizer is your style, then the GT-10 has a chance. Otherwise not.

most definitely! the zoom gt9.2 tt is much better than the xpod because its software bundle and patch generator are the best bundle software the likes of which people haven't seen uptill now. however a gt10 is better because the zoom is good for distortion but the other effects are much better in gt-10. the gt-10 harmonizer is just out of this world. so if u r looking for distorion than go with zoom combined with boss rc-20 xl looper it would cost same as gt-10

yay no more manuals, now a bit more playing on a different guitars on the same item being displayed for example a marshall amp of watever model, u use an ibanez, gibson and dean on the same amp to see how they sound

I think the GT-10 is better because this pedal has mroe effects and the gt-10 has a better tone.

hey man, i use all anolog equipement but still cant find a kick ass distortion and other fx. is this X3 LIVE really worth it? i play with a gibson sg '61 reissue and a tube marshall, and all anolog pedals. i play music in the 1965-1975 era. is the X3 LIVE worth its price fo me? i live in canada and this pedal is 700$!!!!!!! help please. i know it sounds crazy but all of my anolog pedals are just not cutting it for me.

...jump in gain when switching patches... hmmm suppose line 6 could address that? Sounds like a easy firmware fix for a functional issue. Yes I could turn down the effect but that defeats the "live" aspect I would say.

@mrevolutions23 the digitech. read my lines that i've written before to intaomri. i think that with the RP-21, Digitech create the most visionary multieffects with a warmmer sound, that today, ten years after, it's being copyed for flexibility.and the actual series offers a better sound than these or the Boss, wich sounds like a cheap plastic chinese synth. the guy from boss are only good just for one thing: merchandising

@intaomri the boss sounds like shit. somebody have heard about the digitech RP-21D? (an old processor launched about 1999). i own one of these, and, excepting for the interactivity with the variax, posses the same functions showed in this video, but it have a tube!. you can run your signal trough a dual preamp with analog distortions and the posibility of configurate the position of the effects. its the mother of this pedal. sounds great if you tweak the eq (cut mids and bosst in 2.5khz)
