he had the same thing happened against m2k a few years back in losers finals, cant remember what tourney but i recall him tweeting about it just 30 mins later and being a SadBox, love how crazy melee still is with near frame misses
@@l3ftie578 That's what you sign up for with every character. Knowing how to time and space your punishes is something that every top player does across the board. Hbox unfortunately whiffed something that he normally is pretty good at landing.
The fact he intentionally missed his first fair (he's done this before) to throw the opponent off on their DI is such a big brain move. Edit: not to throw off DI - rather, to tech trap. Look in the comments for details.
@@ericborczuk135 some next level play for sure. I thought he just missed it first time but had enough time to get it anyway... this is why I'm the spectator.
@@IvanRevi He's made a video before explaining how he labbed this out and 100% does it on purpose for exactly that reason lol. Really amazing to see him utilizing every tool possible to his advantage and singlehandedly bringing yoshi up on the tier list.
Watching Amsa do what he's doing with Yoshi reminds me of Jwong in MvC3 making the Storm/Wolverine team work even though no one said they could. Character is by all means not meant to win at high level but Amsa studies the hell out of the game and finds a way.
As a yoshi main since 64 smash nothing makes me happier to see asma murder the best of the best with Yoshi. People may disagree but yoshi in smash ultimate is literally broken
Why... is there a Canadian flag on aMSa's cam? My brother in christ the man is Japanese. Could the organizers not tell the difference between the flags of Canada and Japan??
