Amy and Howard struggle to find a similarity between them , they they find they both love Neil Diamond.....................................................
@@sherylmassie9502 Yeah, I know, but I don't buy that he would have gone after Amy. Howard was going after women with sex appeal. We never saw him attracted to a girl like Amy.
@@Threeleebird almost agreed to this but I suddenly remembered that Howard actually fell for a nerdy girl too named Leslie wingkle. Leslie is also the living proof that Leonard could have like Amy too, if only Amy had the make over earlier in the series. Try to search "tbbt amy's majestic new look". She is actually very appealing there. As in, way hotter than Leslie wingkle.
I’m thinking maybe Amy & Howard should have gotten together instead. They seem better matched then to the partners they wound up with. Not sure I would wish Bernadette on Leonard but I see big similarities between Bernie and Leonard’s mom.
@@marywenzel3199 nah Bernadette is low key the most annoying and toxic character. Her arc was that she became a jackass and a mom that was it. Early on Howard was too sleazy for the wholesome Bernie. But later on it was a great, sweet guy too good for the unlikeable girl. Howard I suppose is who he is thanks to Bernadette but I think if Amy's arc involved getting with Howard he'd commit to her as well.
@@corpsecoder_nw6746 I think that’s what I was getting at. Howard and Amy clicked comfortably. Amy started out being presented as a female Sheldon, but as time went on she morphed into more of a female Howard. Both love cheesy aspects of popular culture that the rest of their science nerd circle art into. Underneath Amy’s clinical scientist brain is a girl that is a romantic. Howards sleazy horn dog cracks are really a cover for his social insecurity around women but inside he just wants to be loved. I think even though Howard is a spoiled mamas boy and comes across as a chauvinist, he would be a more attentive partner than Sheldon. Sheldon is not malicious he is just Neurodivergent. Amy has had to work very hard to be with him and although he’s made progress, he’s never going to be able to completely be the man she wants him to be. This scene with Howard was a little glimpse of how it might be easier with a more normal person. Bernadette is quite controlling with a cruel streak… She’s actually a covert narcissist hiding under a sweet as pie exterior. Even though I liked her less as time went on, I’ve got to hand it to Melissa Rauch For doing such a great job playing an undercover beeyotch. They say that boys marry girls like their mothers and I think it’s true in the case of Howard. Bernadette is a younger version of his mother and the way she runs him down yet controls him at the same time. He chose her because the dynamic felt familiar. Amy would have been more nurturing but maybe she would have gotten bored with Howard. Sheldon represents a challenge. Maybe Amy is just a masochist. Howard is a masochist too So they both gravitated to partners that would abuse them the way they unconsciously need.
I love the wholesome friendship that suddenly comes in out of NOWHERE midseries so much! And the fact that it's between Sheldons and favorite and least favorite people in their friend group just makes all the better.
How many of you agree that Amy and Howard have the best chemistry than howard-bernie duo.? I mean Amy loves Howard's magic and both have similar music sense
I love when a shows character or characters act different than usually. This is a perfect example:nerdy borderline psychotic Howard and quiet unassuming Amy breaking out of their shells w/a shared passion.
I love this scene not only because it is great and very funny but it also adds to the fact that Howard could be Sheldon best friend if Sheldon didn't have the need to be "superior". They can somehow relate when it comes to childhood (without the Young Sheldon series), Howard can meet all his needs and expectations (proved in the episode when Sheldon and Amy want to decide who is going to be the best man and the lady of honor) and here (and when they work together) we see how he could also be a good friend of his future wife.
OMG! The Jew Two singing joyously (I mean that in a good way)! The songs they sing along to are: Sweet Caroline (certainly the one most commonly sung at karaoke bars), America (along with Brooklyn Roads and Be, my favorites), Love on the Rocks, and Cherry Cherry.
What I found special is both could 'let their hair down' seeing Amy could enjoy something without comments and poor Howard not being 'trod' on or made to be 'hen-pecked'. It was great
