Any one with vinyl should have one. I even clean new albums. Use the spacers between albums to separate more. Also used a exfoliant as well and lastly if you can reclean vinyl to remove a soap residue from cleaning solution. It might call build up on stylist. I have same cleaner with DYI motor spinner. Now at over 440 albums cleaned and going strong.

It's awesome to see a company putting this type of cleaner out at a reasonable price. Thanks for the review!

I paid $150 delivered for my Vevor which is mechanical control instead of digital about 7 months ago. I've cleaned hundreds of lps and am very happy with the results. A few things I've learned. Place the cleaner on a towel, it's quieter. Get a rheostat that slows the speed of the rotisserie, cheap. I also use Groovewasher.prodicts, G2 to lightly preclean and GSonic in the tank. I run it with 2 lps centered in the tank at about 85 degrees for 10 minutes. I vacuum dry on my 30 year old NittyGritty 1.5. Let air dry for a few minutes. New inner and outer sleeves with a small mark with a sharpie on the outer sleeve to note it's been cleaned and done. Remarkable results.

I have this same ultrasonic cleaner but with a different mechanism to turn the records. I’ve been cleaning records for over 40 years and this is far and away the best method I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend some type of emulsifier solution to break up the fine oils and dust. I use a photographic cleaner, but any non-alcohol based cleaner such as liquinox or turgikleen will do the trick. You only need a couple of drops, so a bottle lasts a really long time. I rinse mine with distilled water then set the records on solo cups to dry with a small fan. It’s a pretty low tech operation. I typically run brand new records (yes, you have to clean new records) for 8 minutes and others for 15 minutes. Anything more than that is overkill, IMO. For really, really dirty records, a couple of cleans may be necessary. Records are a lot more durable than people might think. Sure if it’s really scratched, that’s a problem, but a lot of the time records are just really dirty. You may be surprised at how well you can get an old “wall hanger” to play with a good cleaning.

I have this exact ultrasonic cleaner. I highly recommend only cleaning 4 at a time, using 2 spacers between records. It doesn't do as good of a job cleaning 8. I only use distilled water without any additives and I get fantastic results.

@@_GOATish I clean my records the same way 4 at a time with 2 spacers in between the records, however I use distilled water with spin clean fluid and triton x-100 (a surfactant) and it really deep cleans my records. I have records that I thought sounded great before cleaning, the afterwards results were night and day difference.

According to Discogs I've cleaned 458 albums to date and not a hiccup with this exact machine. Distilled water and 1/4 cup of isopropyl. Beautiful, just beautiful results and they sound as good as they look. Ive done 1,2, 4, 6, 8 at a time and all are spotless and equally quiet when played. I use a Black Diamond Weave towel from the Rag Company to dry as soon as they come out. Then I rack dry with a small fan for 10 minutes. Sleeve the up and they are good to go. Great video - I subbed and liked too. Nicely done!

In europe they also sell analogue versions which are a bit cheaper, approx 160 eur. I have used it to cleanup unplayable moldy records ( distilled water and a few drops of dishwasher solution )... results are very good. It does not clean up a lot of the big pops and cracks though... damaged records remain damaged records. In my case when the appliance was set to 30 celcius, i measured 42... so be a bit carefull with temp settings. You do not wanna warp your vinyl.

Nice vid. Thanks! It might be advantageous to (when doing 2 records) to use all the spacers between the 2 LPs. More room for the water to flow in between.

I work in aerospace and we have 2 slightly larger units about 5 gallons, same brand and faceplate. They are LOUD, I do have an issue where when they are running the temperature rises past the set point so be watchful of that. Actually the 2nd one we purchased quit working after a few weeks, the light on the rear switch is lit so it has power but nothing at the front. These are made in China so quality is, well, you know.

There's one thing you don't find mentioned in a lot of the talk on these ultrasonic cleaners. At least not in the manuals or material included is it mentioned. You have to rinse the surfactant off after using the ultrasonic cleaner to avoid future problems to your LPs from the surfactant chemicals. Especially the primary chemical which I cannot remember the name of right now.. I have the same ultrasonic cleaner that you do and I got mine about 2 years ago on amazon. They were about $225 back then so they've come down in price. I had previously gotten one of the SpinClean washers but I never used it. But that comes in handy for rinsing my records after ultrasonically cleaning them. I put distilled water in it and use it to rinse my records after taking them out of the ultrasonic cleaner. I'm not 100% sure what the surfactant in the GrooveWasher fluid is. But I'm sure it is the same as what is in my Tergicleen surfactant. The surfactant is what gets the water drops into the grooves and loosens the grime or particles needing to be cleaned. I tried using the ultrasonic cleaner without any surfactant at the beginning but the records just weren't coming out as clean. Tergicleen was what I needed to use and it did the trick and it works great. But you really do want to rinse your records with distilled water after ultrasonically cleaning them. There are a lot of channels in the VC that talk about the topic and there are some that won't even use the surfactant because of the damage it reportedly can do to vinyl records. But if it's rinsed off, the problem has been removed and it's nothing to worry about most people agree. The SpinClean cleaners are the perfect tool to rinse with. They usually go on sale near Christmas time and they also have dropped in price I've noticed in recent years. I just wanted to mention this to you so you could look into it yourself and determine what you want to do as far as removing the surfactant goes. Brian in fort Worth 🎶

I personally use the HumminGuru ultra sonic cleaner. They make their own cleaner, so I just use it. It costs considerably more than the one you're showing, but I absolutely love it! I also have the adapter for 45's. But that record cleaner looks like it would do a pretty good job. I'm glad it's more affordable than the others. (Incase mine ever tears up.) Great review! 👍🏻

I was wondering about this. I use a spin clean kind of thing. It cleans great, even new records, they are super dirty. I might splurge and get this and a Pi album straighter since I have gotten 2 brand new records that were warped beyond playing. One was brand new, and one was older. Hard to get the new one replaced because it was special edition. Love to get them repaired.

Here’s some tips, since I have one of these and have used on over 500 records Turn the unit on, duh Then I set my water temp, which is the left side controls to 29 Celsius, then wait for both this numbers to reach 29, then start the cleaning cycle for 30 minutes From what I found, the ultra sonic cleaner is more effective with more space between each record, those spacers are fine but for problematic records, you must leave more space for the waves to be more effective. I also suggest getting a spray bottle or pump sprayer of some sort to post rinse the records after the ultra sonic cleaning I don’t know what you added to your water, I use surfactant and some isopropyl alcohol, that has worked well for me

Looks like a cool machine and thinking of buying one. Thanks for this video! Does it say you should or it's best to air dry the vinyl? My gut says use a microfibre cloth to dry off the worst parts. Also, seeing the wax had a 30 min bath, doesn't it drip down onto the label when taking them off the spindle? Curious if you decided on this particular model for a reason, seeing there's more out there. If you've any tips/tricks you'd like to share, please do, thanks (:

I would only do 2 at a time for used records with proper spacing for best results in a tank that size. I have a bigger tank and only clean 3 at once, sometimes 4. It's also a good idea to rinse with distilled water after cleaning. I use a Spin Clean for that.

Done hundreds of records with this one and super happy as I only spent like 70 bucks a few years ago. Only thing I would suggest is to change out the power adapter to a 3v 1Amp like 6 bucks on Amazon to slow down the RPM then I run for 10 minutes or so. Amazing results.

I would suggest using some photoflow to break down the water so it gets deeper in the grooves. I've used mine for 5 years and I've noticed a tremendous difference in the sound of all my vinyl. I would also run the cycle at 30 minutes and with the photoflow it takes just about an hour for a complete clean.

I own the same unit. I recommend if you're cleaning just two records at a time, consider placing the extra spacers between them. It's been noted that the ultrasonic cleaner may not clean effectively if the records are positioned too closely together. In this size tank I only clean three records at a time, spacing the records about 1" apart from each other.

Not available in the UK. This from the UK GOV website... Product: Vevor Ultrasonic Cleaners Hazard: The products present a high risk of electric shock as the products are inadequately earthed and of inadequate size which caused the earthing wire to overheat and melt the insulation. The plug also failed to comply with BS1363-1 as the earthing pins had less than 3.9 mm thickness, which is below the minimum required. Corrective action: Destruction of the product at the border

those spacers are not sealed so they dont do crap to protect the label. Also, if you are going to only clean two at a time space them out. The way you had them so close you may as well load the thing up, same difference.

Your record should be good after 5mins once its clean its not getting more clean, the extra 25 is just risking damaging it.
