This is a great clock. There's only one thing about it that keeps it from being perfect! (Watch the video to find out what that is.) If you're looking for a nice radio controlled "atomic" alarm clock which can easily find a place on a night stand, on a desk or hanging on a wall, this is great. It has the time in large digits along with the date, day of the week and indoor temperature all on one nice, easy--to-read display. The clock can show the time in 12-hour or 24-hour mode and the indoor temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It has a daily alarm which starts off gently but, after several seconds, will nag you with a lot of beeping until you pay attention to it. And, when you tap that snooze bar on the top of the clock, it lights up the display with a big, bright electroluminescent backlight.
The clock is designed to show the current time in any of seven time zones, including Hawaii, Alaska, Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern AND Atlantic. Of course, reception of WVVB may not be very reliable when you're in those time zones that are farthest away from Fort Collins, Colorado, but then the clock will just work as a normal quartz clock with pretty-good accuracy. The clock is designed to set itself every night using the atomic time data it receives from WWVB, although I'm not sure exactly when the receiver turns itself on at night. The clock runs on three AAA batteries (not included).
