Hi Chris, another enjoyable video to watch during my breakfast. I was an archaeology major in college and dug up and cleaned in the lab many a broken bits of glass. Finding the base and maker’s mark was so important, but not always there! I love watching you do FULL PIECE archaeology, and explaining the history of manufacturing, it is so so satisfying. My question for you on this video is: What about patina? (And maybe it is a topic for a future video). When is patina good, when is it not, and can you clean it? For example, coins, you are never supposed to clean as they depreciate the value. I love (and I know you do, too) old wood finish. A nice rainbow patina on old ceramics is really nice. And copper patina is king of great (but not so much on other metals). And sometimes patina looks GREAT on glass, like the skittle bottle and the pig snout gin bottles. But, I do not like the haziness of some of the milk and sauce bottles. For my taste, the super clear and glossy old bottles are so appealing. Can you put some vinegar in them, or polish them with a mild bottle brush, to bring them up and to increase their street value? Thanks Chris! Carry on, Good Solider!

Love those old bottles. Never heard of ABCR, but then again I haven't been buying old bottles. Both my parents worked at AGM for a while in the 60's. I remember seeing a guy who had just dug up a schnapps bottle, at Hill End in the 70's, first time I saw one of those. 👍

The poison bottles were by far the most ugly... but strangely I find them very attractive. Perhaps I simply would enjoy the varying textures in the glass. I don't collect glass but I might get a small group of them simply for the experience.

Gr8 vid mate, I just ask if price included shopping. Did U have to pay buyer premium? I love to have second shop one day. Not popular around me. We went for drive to Dayboro and there was little cafe (overprice), but they were a deli and second hand seller, all in the one shop. Interesting idea. Cheers Graham.
