Katerina Ramos is the NCWF Red Wolf Education and Outreach Coordinator who is on the front lines of the recovery effort of the federally-listed, critically endangered red wolf (Canis rufus). Hear more on what inspires her work in wildlife conservation and recovery of endangered species.
Endangered Species Day (May 17) is a day to raise awareness for the species we are most at risk of losing. In North Carolina, species such as Atlantic sturgeon, Carolina northern flying squirrel, red wolf, West Indian manatee, red-cockaded woodpecker and bog turtle and many others are imperiled species.
