I got this wheel set 8 months ago and it always said “6 speed + reverse shifter” on the box and I never knew it had a reverse gear! I thought since it only had 6 slots there’s only 6 gears. But after watching this video I didn’t know you could push it down and slide it into 6th for reverse! Awesome video!!!

This comment should have more thumbs up. Try playing a game with no FFB on a Direct Drive wheel it's near impossible to judge your turns with no resistance at all. Cool that it has the dual vibrating motors as well. I wonder if the T80 has vibration? Not likely.
Bought this for my 7 year old grandson for $99 so I was relieved to here is worth buying for $100. I want to start him out with something to learn on and thanks to you I think I made the right choice. When he's older I'll upgrade to a thrustmaster. Thanks again! Jerry G.
@@escobar1656 it's a bit better than a controller. It would be ok for some more arcadey games, but for more sim orientated titles you kinda need more, as 270° is gonna be really twitchy
@@118Shadow118 i have crew 2 and nfs heat on xbox one s.. Nothing proffesional but Its kind of hard to drive smooth in corners especially when you need to brake at the same time. Maybe because its both on left side of controller, but yeah. I think of buying tracer roadster 4 in 1, its cheapest that i found, its like 70 dollars.

Good job, as always. :) I think that this wheel might be a better wheel than the competitors if the customer is among the youngest players. A kid that's maybe 5-8 years old isn't necessarily strong enough to handle the force feedback of the G923/G920/G29/T150 etc. They might also not be strong enough to push the brake pedal to 100% in the wheels mentioned above. Therefore, it might be worth more with vibration, 3 pedals and an H-pattern shifter. The hassle of setting this thing up might be a big turn off for the parents (unless they are into tech) though. But that's basically a discussion about individuals, which would take up too much room here anyways. :p So, I think that the Logitechs and the Thrustmasters is better if you are a bit older, while this set is good for the youngest beginners. id actually oppose this comment, i started on a logitech driving force gt at about the age of 6, that was a fantastic wheel for the sake of learning and enjoyment, by the time i was 10, vehicle correction was second nature as kids learn so so fast and unfortunately this kind of experience is absent in a spring loaded wheel. If it had force feedback - at that price point it would be killer!
Thanks for this, I had a friend to whom I've gifted my old Logitech Momo, that wanted to step up a bit from it and once linked me this thing. I couldn't find almost any decent review until now, but I've restrained him from getting it as soon as I read there wasn't FF. Also after lockdown here there's literally an explosion of G920/G29/G27 on sale on the 2nd hand market, thus making getting one of those used ones a much better option than this or a new T150 without the t3pa pedals..

Got this for $116 at a pawn shop and it’s my first sim racing wheel. I too am using it for forza 5 and it was a bit difficult to set up but once a downloaded the app for it and switch to x-input and was plug and play for me I tweaked a few of the advanced control settings in forza (and the brake pedal slightly triggers when neutral so I had to raise the dead zone in forza. I’m assuming it’s bc I got it from a pawn shop lol.) but overall I really like it. You mentioned forced feedback and it that’s what I think my next wheel purchase will be something with that!!
im glad it worked for you but it didnt for me. i love the feel of the shifter and pedals but i had to download the emulator for this to work on forza snd there were just a ton of issues with buttons not mapping and the wheel not connecting it was so infuriating and not worth all the extra time to trouble shoot
Absolutely amazed by the content in this video. I wasn’t expecting much in terms of content surrounding this Budget Wheel. This video probed me wrong with quality editing, narrating; explaining, discussing, and thinking out certain subjects surrounding the all in all components of the wheel. I just bought mine for a much lower price. I got it for about $125.00 (this is the non taxed price).
I just picked one of these up at micro center for $79. Based on my research others have had trouble with setup so I expected the same. No. It just worked. Of course I had to figure out the button layout because I am using it on a PC. I play snow runner and similar games. It works fine for me.

i actually use this wheel for gt sport, in the beginning it has some problems like disconnecting or the gas and break paddle is slightly pressed for some reason. but the trick is that u have to keep it unplugged when turning it on and plug it in after its on. the only downside now is that, its not in sync with the steering wheel in game so playing in POV sucks a lot. in my country the PXN is half the price of thrustmaster and logitech which is why i bought the PXN instead. I like this review, shame it came out after i bought the wheel. take a subscriber!
Immediately within 30 seconds I type this part. I enjoy playing American Truck Simulator even though semis are my daily job, and my biggest gripe with keyboard has been the slow turning speed, and controller has never felt right in the game for me. The Lo-Hi switch on the shifter excites me as I can see programing a 13 speed transmission in properly. I've seen this on Amazon with hit or miss reviews and am excited to see how it bodes for a "casual use" Now at the end of the video I still like it, I want to look into the other wheels that may set up easier, yet I also want the 3 pedals and H shifter without costing an arm and a leg. Not sure if you're still checking comments on this video, or if anyone reading this comment has insight on budget friendly setup options, but I am glad to hear anything to steer me towards better products for a similar price that fit the bill of simple slow driving. What a fascinating product. I saw PXN racing wheels start coming out a year or two ago and they were starting out with really lousy entry level wheels. Wouldn't it be interesting if they kept going and eventually made real force feedback wheels
I got mine a while ago and really can't complain much. The H shifter does it's job and having a clutch pedal it's a game changer for beginner wheels as you can still enjoying drifting at low speeds. The wheel doesn't come with FF as mentioned, but it does center itself with which is a nice, albeit odd system. Finally I can say that my main gripe is with the vices for the wheel. They are too bulky and force you to lower your chair, which is no problem for me as I play in VR Bottom line for me is this. For just 500 USD I got myself a pretty great beginner setup with and oculus quest 2 + a pretty decent wheel that I don't even hear under my headphones, music and the sound of the fun I'm getting. For comparison my brother has a Thrustmaster with FF but no clutch and when we play Assetto Corsa he is forced to just be kicking the gas all the way, while with this setup you can have a bit of fun clutch kicking and feeling in control. I for one don't regret my purchase. I do have to warn buyers, that the clutch comes with a 50% permanent activation which will mess with some games, you can open the pedal and manually set the potentiometer towards the lower side. Also read the manual to switch from the default accel + brake shared pedal setup Great review overall :)
idk why but in malaysia the thrustmaster wheels and logitech cost 1k+ but PXN only cost 200 - 400 so that is why I would rather buy the PXN v9 and thanks for reviewing I was wondering if it was a steal or not.

This wheel strikes me as if its made more for sim trucking than sim racing. I say this because the shifter clearly has a "lo - hi" button selector which suggests that it can be configured for (range) more than six gears, or at the very least, to split each of the gears into high and low.. It has a button with a braking icon, which would suggest a "jake brake" option. Also, according to OC Racing the wheel is pitched more flat as if one is driving a bus (or a truck).
The pxv v9 for me was a no brainer move since the g29 was $410 where i live and the v9 was at $178 Build quality was meh and my gas pedal died after 2 weeks of barely using it but im happy i bought it. At least i have a wheel now. I agree with you. If the price for the logitech and thrustmaster were similar to this where I live, i wouldve have bought those over the v9
@@angryman3603 I managed to get a refund a week after I bought it since my Gas and Brake pedals had a bad sensor. After that I just settled on a G29 with the H-Shifter.
As a pxn v9 owner and a beginner in sim racing, I can confirm that you're right on the money. While overall this is a good starter pack for me, the only thing that's giving me a hard time is the stiffness/softness of the pedals being linear (just like you said in this video). There are techniques in sim racing that requires brake and throttle control at a certain threshold which is very hard to do with pxn v9 because pressing the pedals slightly, midway, or flooring it have all the same feel of counter-pressure on your foot, no threshold in which the stiffness increases. However, I compensate this lack of feature by practicing hard to learn how to manage my foot angle to match the pedal pressure needed. So, overall, this is still a good buy for a starter.
@@justasimplegamer129 Yes pal, exactly. If the game doesn't have an on-screen pedal pressure indicator, you will rely on the angle of your foot's forward and backward movement, which will be a hell of a training.
Force feedback is simply essential. if this had force feedback it would be a competitor to the logitech as it comes with a shifter. Without FFB, there is no driving experience, there is no learning experience essentially they are as good as a paperweight or for playing mario kart, the age old driving force gt would still be the way to go. i got this wheel for like 75 bucks just to start trying to get into sim racing, (hasnt been delivered yet) i figured im a beginner and wouldnt know the difference aside from real driving, makes me wonder if i'd be able to run the 3 pedals and shifter and just buy a new wheel with ffb in the future assuming i enjoy it
I was originally gonna pick one of these up as my first wheel, but I had a motherfucker of a time. I managed to find out about the PXN V9 long before it was released(?), and I was camping Amazon daily for 6 months to snatch one. I'd known about the PXN V900 for a while, which is this wheel without the clutch and shifter. That wheel is retails at 119.99, and it's a pretty decent deal given the vibration and 900° rotation. I wanted the extra rotation because at the time I was far more interested in road cars and street racing than circuit stuff. When I saw the V9 had a clutch and shifter, I got excited. It finally hit the shelves about December of last year, and I tried to get one, but they would come in stock 20 at a time and sell out within 48 hours(seriously, I camped these religiously). Ebay had them up from scalpers for about 400, and most other places had it for 199.99. Banggood had it for 180 or something, but their shipping sucked. Eventually, I caved and got a TMX(non pro) around March. I suppose in hindsight, that was the right choice. FFB is great. I still want one though, kind of out of spite. I think it's retail of 169.99 is pretty reasonable, though I haven't used a T80 or anything. I kinda want one of those too, for shits and giggles. Now I have a far superior shifter(sorta, 7+R, not the TM one tho) and a set of T3PA's I nabbed of FB for 50. You didn't talk about the switches on the shifter. One is for high gears, for truck sims, and the other is for I believe a handbrake mode(might be sequential shift, i forget). Did you test these? I'm curious to know how they work.
Found this at Microcenter for $99. For a wheel, pedals and shifter at that price point, I jumped on it. I don't have too many racing games, but fingers crossed it works well enough for me for less intense driving games
Same. The Android app is almost impossible to use and I still haven't managed to get it fully working. The documentation is so paltry that it's almost non-existent.
I just wanted to mention that the other wheels he suggested as alternatives in the same price category currently are sitting about $125 more than this $200 wheel.. I'm not saying this is a good wheel I've not tried it I just wanted to mention that it definitely seems to be in the lower price category for any wheel I've seen on Amazon.

I totally agree with this video. I have the PXN V9 is for me still VERY complicated to control in Forza, F1 and more games. For $200 for me its not worth it. OC Racing you did PERFECT :)
I tried this wheel and there were multiple problems, the metal on the pedals were very sharp on the edges. So be careful! The clamps for the wheel were very large so my knees would always be in the way. Tell me if you also had this problem. Finally, the angle of the steering wheel faces upwards which makes it only suitable for trucking games. Not a sim racing setup. Despite the fact that this wheel is cheaper, I personally think that the Logitech G29 is a much better racing wheel and worth the money.

I have a Pxn V9 steering wheel and honestly, I love it! But the only thing that I'm concerned about is the FFB, and it's weird that it has no FFB, but has a 900 and a 270 degrees rotation
excellent Review. I purchased one for $40 yesterday. The settings are difficult however the price is worth it for me as it is also used on the Switch. Also its cheap enough to not be upset if one of my children were to have an "accident"
I dont think its worth it to buy one of theese second hand since you can buy a G25 for 100 bucks too with everything that comes on that one, better pedals and ffb
@@lyqed7803 it depends where you live, you kinda have to figure it out yourself. I would sugest finding places where theese things don't usually sell well since they will be cheaper, but they might be quite beaten. If you can wait to get the 120 extra for a G29 it's 100% worth it, since you get it new, unless the shifter really matters to you, then get a 27 if you can, even if there aren't many differences it's quite a bit better than the G25, because the gears are less noisy and the motherboard supports twice the regular power imput, so you can esentially overclock your wheel, but i would add some cooling fans before doing that
@@lyqed7803 No worries man, even the best ones are noobs once. It means that it can deliver more power to the motors (in this case twice the power) if you get a more powerfull power supply, but this will make the motors generate more heat. In the desing of the Logitech G series body, there are some fake vents in the rear that you can open up with a dremmel or some pliers, it's small enough that you can get a tiny fan wich can push air in (i think it was a 10mm one), then you need exit holes in the top part either avobe or in front of the motors. This will also mean that the interior of your wheel will get dirty, it's a bit annoyng to dissasemble but you don't need to be an engineer to pull it apart and together as long as you avoid touching the wheel's gearbox. You can feed the fans however you want, the easyest way would be to use low power ones and modify a phone charger to power it through a cable with a hole on the side of the case. Keep in mind that if you want to re-sell it for whatever reason this will make the value of the wheel go down, since it will seem less trustworthy to whoever you try to sell it to. Either way it isnt important as long as you are happy with how the wheel feels, but i think that it's an interesting idea that you don't really see people talk about, so i wanted to share it.
@@lyqed7803 i think that you can get it new for that price, so no. Either way look very well for whatever oportunity shows up, maybe a cheap T300? Thoose can be a bit more expensive even without H shifter, but if the feel of the wheel is really important to you it will definitively be a plus to have a belt driven wheel, so a really cheap one could be a good option. Also, you should be carefull and look to all details you can, if there is any burned smell or it smells like cologne, you probably should run away, the cologne might be used to hide the smell of a toasted motor, wether it is a Logitech or whatever, so the best thing is to go check it out personally if you can. Im sorry that my comments are this long but i want to avoid leaving any important details out, it's not gonna be fun to try and find the other guy if you do get ripped off, so save all information you can from the other person, like a phone number or name to report it if you can to the cops, with all conversations you have had with him on the phone/pc as proof. I can't really think of much more to say, so best of luck and i hope you find something good that matches you well while being affordable.
@@lyqed7803 well, it's the new one wich has some extra feedback, not all games use it, but it's nice to have. If you can go for it, it doesn't seem like a terrible deal. Check the in store price and if you think it's worth it go get it. I would advice Beamng as a test ground, its not too expensive with a price of 25 bucks and the physics can be enjoyed both with or without a wheel, so it's a buy you probably won't regret.
I bought a PXN V9 and it will probably be the worst wheel you can possibly by as a beginner sim racer. The lack of force feedback makes it impossible to drive at the limit. It's difficult to consistently know where the limit of whatever car you're driving is. It is near impossible to race with unless you have ABS turned on. The clutch always sits at 50%, meaning you have to adjust your deadzones to make sure the pedals aren't riding the clutch. The lack of resistance on the brake pedal means that you lock up unless you very gently press down on the pedal with your toes. Of course, there is no way to adjust sensitivity in the awful mobile app they force you to use. Calibration is an absolute joke and seems to do nothing. There is very little support and, overall, I think that it is just not worth it to buy this set. Perhaps in a game like Euro Truck Sim this would work, but for any high-speed, competitive racer? Nah. Save the money and buy something worthwhile.
Got one as a gift and works very well, specially in games like TDU2 and sonething in between arcade and sim, also works well with GT4, i tryed on PC2 but without FFB its not very competitive

This is for the person that doesn't want to buy a wheel for each of their systems. This is for a person that likes truck sims, this is the only shifter with hi/low range in gears so you can actually have a 12 speed transmission. This is the only wheel I have seen with an app that lets you configure the buttons for each game and that app syncs to the wheel with Bluetooth! Even high end DD wheels costing $2000+ don't have this feature. I personally think the fact that the wheel works with ALL of the consoles including the Switch, comes with the free app to create profiles as well as the shifter with hi/low range more than justifies the price. I even saw one reviewer mention that the button on the shifter for the parking brake allows you to use the shifter as a handbrake...I can't confirm this is true though as I have not bought this yet. Not a bad review but it would have been nice if you covered all of the features of the shifter and showed the app, maybe tested it on a console or two to see how well it worked on them. I believe the app comes preconfigured with many profiles for different popular titles.
Didn't finish watching yet, but just wanted to open. I got this wheel set on sale for 100$ and am super pleased for the value. If you aren't like MAJORLY into race sims but want a decent wheel that works fairly well and isn't the cheapest thing you ever felt I recommend. I have mine mounted with just the suction cups on a glass desk and I will say, they send like 5 cups but you only need the 4 corner cups, if you put the middle one on it makes the whole thing slide around.
Wow I was not able to get my H shifter to work at all! I've tried this with Crew 2 (terrible experience there, but I didn't attempt to tweak any settings so, could've been improved most likely with some adjustments) and Asseto Corsa, which is works perfectly for that, OTHER than the H shifter. No matter how I adjust things, If I shift up with the shifter (1st 3rd or 4th gear) that will shift once up (you could go 1st to 4th though and it would still go 1 gear up) and vice versa for down. That and the brake and clutch act as the same input for me as well. I also had no idea this wheel could vibrate lol as you said near the end though for 100$ the setup is decent value.
I have the pxn v900, bought a g29 instead today, cant wait until it arrives, and i also got a steal of a deal on ebay for 210 dollars and free shipping and its brand new so thats nice
Odd how it costs 200 dollars at where you live, over here in Malaysia, you can get these for like RM 550 (about 116 usd) which would be almost half the price you bought it for
Whith that price range i guess its really good to start with. I can find it very useful for my trucking needs since shifter has already low and high gears.
Bought this wheel around May for $110 on sale here in the Philippines. I have no complaints and works great as a starter wheel for me especially since a new G29 here in the PH will set you back around $400. Awesome vid!
"It made me feel like driving a bus". Then it would suit you for your new gaming career xD I actually love driving buses in games, but I have a G29 and it does the job very well. The moment you said "No FFB" it was a goner. I got mine for cheap from a friend, setup was pretty easy, but I have to say that I hate the Logitech software app. It always kills my G29 when I try to turn the wheel, then I have to close the game, replug the steering wheel, and restart everything.
It’s $180 new from what I see now, I bought one and after trying it,I sold it literally the next day and bought a used playseat and Logitech g920 with the shifter for $150 on fb marketplace!
I personally own this wheel and i have found that after a year of usage the shifter has completely broken and the center in game is slightly off but other then that i have never had any issues with setup or anything else besides the occasional turn it off and turn it back on fix i am currently looking to upgrade it or obtain a handbreak and shifter for it that i can migrate to a different set up in a couple of months but it works perfectly in carx drift, beamng, ATS, and My Summer Car
I bought it a short while after watching this video. It doesn’t have force feedback (the main downside) but if you’re one of the few people who don’t go apeshit over ffb, then its a good choice for a budget wheel.
bro swear to god i watched this video and decided this wheel wasn’t for me so thank you so much. i ended up getting a g920 on facebook marketplace for 170 instead and it included the shifter and a nice low starter wheel stand so i definitely think i made a better decision
I’m still gonna be getting this wheel, I don’t play racing games all to often, my main use for the wheel would be for snowrunner, and other sim game similar to it so I don’t think it’s a necessity to have force feedback for me.
