I bought an open box of this from microcenter for about 75$. Worth it imo. I don't use the shifter, just the paddles on the wheel. But yes the only complaint I have is the pedals are a Lil cheap feeling, but for what I paid, I definitely feel I will get my money's worth
@Zack Fair honestly, the throttle crapped out like 2-3 weeks into using it. Would show half when nit even pressed. Ended up returning it and getting a logitech g923 woth a next level f-gt seat setup. Waaay better!!
I definitely feel like this wheel will be ideal for arcade racing games and for certain simulator games. Can't argue against that price, but its uncertain how relaible the steering wheel is for the long run.
it suckes in the long run. i had a v900 but they are practically the same wheel. after about 5 months it would go out of calibration and the wheel irl would be straight but in game it was turned 90 degrees i don't recommend this wheel get a g29 or something
Hey Scorpio, this video really interested me with the product. I may actually be ordering this. As you said in the video that this is more for budget cases like I am currently . I really am excited to get this product and give it a go in Forza Horizon 5!
After a couple of months of use, the pedal potentiometer would go crazy on you no matter how much calibration and hardware tinkering you do. So, not the most durable of equipment. Not recommended for long term use..
Thing i hate about those "gaming" wheel, the wheel are just too small, not sure about thrustmaster though . Im hoping there's a wheel that has normal cars wheel size. Like toyota's , audi's and other car OEM wheel
I got this about 3 weeks ago as my first sim wheel I only bought it for for use in ETS2, ATS and CCD, imo its a pretty decent wheel, I have only used it about 6 times so far without using the shifter and I'm OK with it because I only wanted it for the casual drive using car mods in ETS 2 and ATS or in CCD. I do think that the pedals are a bit too weak in tension. Honestly the biggest issue I have with the wheel was something that I overlooked when I decided to buy it as I'm using it on a PC, that is I would have to set up and then remove it from my desk after every use which has in a way has deterred me from using it as often as I want to.I might just use it once every week or two.
I'm having the same problem with my used G27 steering wheel and shifter. I do want to use it more, but sense I need to unplug it everytime I finish using it for the day it kinda pushes me back from using it again lol. Next thing for me would be buying these foldable racing seats where you can keep the wheel attached when storing.
@@royliber3824 because of this I didn't use my wheel for months then just used it for two days last week, disconnected it again and put it aside back in the box because it gets in my way again. But it's a good wheel though.
I tried the g29 at my friends house, and it was really fun to use. But at that time the g29 was too expensive so i opted for the v9 instead. The pedals and shifter were ok, but the wheel was a bit disappointing due to the lack of ffb. Now the g29 is on sale for 170 dollars, but im afraid to ask my parents for it since they'll say i already have the pxn v9 😢
Would you recommend this for begginer drivers in real life for practice? I'm gonna go to driving school in the near future, and I'm wondering if this will affect my in real driving feel since I might get used to this before going into the real steering wheel and pedals
Using this wheel to practice real life? Hell no. This is more for just trying out a wheel. MINIMUM I would go for is a g29 as that has force feedback (force feedback tries to simulate how a real wheel turns). The next step from g29 is t300 RS since that has better force feedback. If you want it to be the most realistic feeling possible get something called a "direct drive" wheel, well known brands are moza and fanatec. Direct drive wheels don't use a gear driven or belt driven system unlike the g29 and t300 rs, instead they use a motor which gives a MUCH more accurate feeling. They are a lot more pricey tho. If your only concern is that it will possibly hinder your real life performance then I don't really think that will be an issue.
@@pao2725 that was a very good decision tbh. The g29 has almost the same force feedback as the g27 except the g27 is cheaper (and doesn't work on Gran Turismo 7 but I don't think you mind that). However I've heard the durability of the g29 is longer lasting so I suggest becareful on how you store it etc.
In fh5 the animation stops about quarter way with this wheel, but don’t worry because it is actually still turning the full 900 degrees even after the wheel turn animation stops.
Don't let people tell you this is a bad setup, it's a decent setup for the money, people will shit on it bc the lack of force feedback but thats okay I was a beginner so I didn't need force feedback
Hi, I like the review, but since I'm looking for a cheaper one for my kid. I'm wondering if this is compatible with PS5 and PS5 simulation bus games? Thank you
Just did a quick google search and it says " Not compatible with PS5 hosting. When connecting to Xbox One, Xbox Series and PS4 consoles for use, the official original controller is required. "
I’ve had mine since Christmas of 2021 and the whole thing has not worked in full and today I’ve tried to get it to work but half the steering wheel doesn’t work neither does the accel, brake, or clutch I am lost on how to get this to work and could use some help.
Does shifter work with need for speed games?? Which need for speed games? Is possible pxn v9 wheel pedals work but not shifter on some need for speed games? I'm playing ps3 Or only truck simulator games?? Is down button on shifter gears 1-6?
This wheel looks very "appetizing" since Im looking for a budget wheel using an H shifter, right now Im using an XBOX Ferrari Wheel on my pc and I usually play either driving simulators like BeamNG or an old racing game called Toca Race Driver 3. Its horrible with this wheel, and it was almost unusable before I made my own modifications to it where I took springs out of the pedals so they didn't force my foot up and I took a "return spring" out of the wheel which was just a rubber band that made the wheel slingshot your car into a sidewall if you didn't fight the wheel. If I knew this wheel was an option, I would've bought it over this Xbox wheel! For a budget wheel you seems to get way more features and better build quality
3/4 minute working gt5 good But automatic not work Alert please check that the controller is connected and that it is still assigned To the user who started grand theft auto v Plese brother any solution
I just got this and when I hook it up to my xsx it will work as a controller until I load up a game then it just doesn't. I've been looking everywhere to try and fix it but I can't find anything. Anyone in comments have an idea?
The video of the wheel and the video of the gameplay don't seem to be sync'd? You're turning the wheel completely and in the video the car is going straight.
Looking at this review and having stared at the settings in ATS (imagining what a wheel would be like) I assume you would just have to set it to what you call "Low" button then set the gears each then switch over to "High" and set the rest of the gears though seeing that the truck I am driving in my game is an 18 speed not sure how that is going to work for those last few gears, so much like a truck IRL you shift through the first set of gears then hit the high switch and repeat
Got this for christmas the other day and i had alot of problems with it, every game i played it needed the h-pattern shifter to be a sequential, and i don't have anything to make it that. Also no FF which is surprising because at this price you could get the g29 which comes with FF Doesn't have any up and down steering wheel adjustments, so it's stuck at that angle.... i know my family tried their best and thats ok but i need to sell it now and save up until i can get the better one
My red light is blinking and won’t pair to my PS4 and my controller still works just fine and no video talks about this….. does anybody have the same problem as me and has anybody had a solution that fixes this again controller works just fine with PS4 it’s just when I do the setup with the wheel it doesn’t control my PS4 no matter how many tires I attempt to restart it
