I have to say, we are! Most people in our arena and at competition's is willing to help. You can just walk up to a girl in the changing room and just ask for some help with your hair and 70-80 percent of the time they are willing to help. Just wanted to let you know.

Yeah. My friend was dating a ballerina from the American Ballet Theatre and she gave him scabies Bc the costumes had scabies. People really need to be putting their unwashables clothes in a freezer or in a steam bag for sanitation purposes. Buncha stinkies.

Mirai Nagasu is the first American woman to land the triple axel at the Olympics. Tonya Harding landed it at US nationals but not at the Olympics. There are only three women who landed it at the Olympics: Mirai, Midori Ito, and Mao Asada. There’s actually only around 10 women who have successfully landed a triple axel.

Stopdabbingkids -.- true those ~10 are the only ones who are recognized by having landed it at a competition. There have been numerous attempts and some have successfully landed it at practice, but they only start really counting it once it’s landed at a scored competition. There’s multiple skaters going for a 3A this 2019-2020 season.

Love these videos so much! It's so interesting to see how daily routines are for people in different professions. I'd love to see some more common professions as well like accountants, lawyers, stay at home moms, etc. Even men would be interesting to see.

@Jenny Moe I agree. I think it will help people see that there's so many others like them as well, and that life is not always glamorous and about training, hair, makeup, etc. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I think most of the population would be able to relate better with those more common daily professions. But it's just all in fun anyways and nice to see a glimpse of the other side 😋

I guess I didn't really realize that skaters don't always wear the sparkly tight leotards, it was super cool to see people figure skate in 90's clothes. When I usually think of skating I think of the olympics and tight costumes, or Disney on ice

Learning to fall is one thing, but learning to keep going once you fall is very mental. I once fell backwards while ice dancing. Another couple smashed in to me and I used my hands to break my fall (big mistake). I broke both my wrists (unbeknownst to me...I just knew they hurt real bad). My ice dance instructor was militant and I was scared of him. He made me get up and keep dancing with my hands and arms locked in place. He didn't let me stop until I was literally crying. My mom wanted to punch him out when she realized what he made me endure. But that experience showed me how adrenaline can help a person get through anything. Granted, I would not recommend anyone to do that.

Mirai is the first figure skater I’ve ever looked up to because the first time I ever watched the Winter Olympics was in 2018 and she was my favorite! I was in elementary school so I always accidentally called her Moriah!

i'm a fencer but i used to dance and skate. not gonna lie, skating costumes are the most annoying things ever. and tutus, oh god, they just fall apart. but when it comes to fencing gear, that stuff can take quite a bit of crap. thankfully you can wash most of your fencing gear cuz you have to wear literally five layers of it and you sweat. a lot.
