I think everyone is looking at Anakin through the lens of "I wish he was a combat monster" and most are disappointed in him. Even with just Force Reflex, Defense Stance, and his 3 pip Anakin can be handing out 2 surges 3 aims/dodges per turn with exemplar which is pretty nuts. Plus he's still no slouch in close combat. I wish his cards gave him cool abilities instead of keywords and I am disappointed with everyone else there. He still seems pretty solid on paper though. Thanks for the great vid, loving your content!
Ive only used force push once and we were playing bombing run, it allowed obiwan to push magnagaurd out of movement to make base contact with the bomb allowing him to swoop in next turn to pick up and drop off within range of another unit basically winning the game
Positive. The Phase 2/B2 debacle is pretty unacceptable. I understand Covid was an issue but they really needed to get a better feel for their market and not be coy about production with items that effectively have unlimited shelf life.
I have only used Anakin twice but from my limited experience his two pip is TRASH. Like you said its extremely clunky and difficult to use. The fact that it's a selfish 2 pip makes it even less appealing. Thanks for opening ny eyes to Anakins support capabilities and I'll comment in the future with how it goes. Great analysis 👍🏽
Very informative! Im confused about one thing: Are the drawbacks on his command cards permanent as well? After playing all three do you need to meet all 3 requirements each turn to avoid 3 suppression?
Unfortunately my Faction Reviews dont go over campaign books or else it would be A LOT of labour and $ to cover in depth. Hungary is on my radar as are campaign books, though
I don't know why you always assume the Republic will only be fighting the Droid Army. They can fight any army, even their own. Force Push is useful because it's a disengage action without having to take up your whole turn. You can disengage when needed with an enemy in melee by simply pushing them away. That's why it's considered auto include for a lot of people, so your 200+ investment doesn't get stuck tied up against a single b1 Battledroid.
