As additional edit to my last video I’m trying to analyze an improvised Chaconne/Passacaglia by Alexander Weimann on the descending tetrachord. I chose this performance for several reasons. On the technical side: it is relatively short but nevertheless is rich in content and aspects that potentially can be addressed. On the side of artistry: I find this an inspiring and expressive example of genuine jamming on a baroque bass line classic.

• Improvised passacaglia...
If you’re interested to learn to jam yourself, I compiled a tutorial on this kind of bass line and how to draw a Chaconne from it:

That moment when Pachelbel in his Ciacona in F minor, after goodness knows how many iterations of F Eb Db C, suddenly and unexpectedly modulates to the relative major and unleashes a Monte Romanesca. A glorious moment!

I remember seeing this video several years ago and downloaded the video and audio to transcribe his playing to guitar. I'm glad you discussed it here.

Those 9ths are so ravishing aren’t they? They make me feel like a French Duke.

There is a baroque improviser on RU-vid called Borogrove. He has amazing performances there in my opinion. I'd love to have your input on him.
