This reporter, along with hundreds of others in Western mainstream media, is biased and complicit in the crimes happening right now in Gaza. For example, in this 10.47-minute video, he passionately speaks with the parents of an Israeli man who was murdered in cold blood by his own military. But at the same time, has this biased reporter ever interviewed any of the 50,000 innocent Palestinians murdered by the Zionists, who are using deadly 2-ton bombs supplied by his own government? The truth is, he has never attempted the same compassionate and lengthy interviews with Palestinian family members, because that would bring him tons of trouble, and might even cost him his job. What a disgraceful media and their so-called anchors.

Thanking Anderson for shedding light on one case, while ignoring the massacre of 50,000 innocent Palestinians, is nothing short of appalling. Where is your gratitude for the reporters who dare to speak about the brutal killings in Gaza? Or are their lives worth less because they’re not Israeli? The media's selective compassion reveals the hypocrisy of your so-called awareness. One man’s death deserves attention, but what about the endless suffering of entire families wiped out by the Zionist regime’s 2-ton bombs? This biased media that you praise remains silent as thousands of innocent lives are shattered. Compassion isn't real when it only applies to one side.

It’s truly astounding that you're more concerned about what would be "sensational" or "viral" than addressing the real issues at hand. While you're busy praising Anderson for his private revelation, thousands of Palestinian families have had their sons and daughters murdered in cold blood, and their tragedies are ignored by the very media you celebrate. Where’s the viral coverage for the relentless destruction and oppression happening in Gaza? The selective empathy here is staggering. True journalism is about exposing all injustices, not picking and choosing what suits a narrative.

Referring to Hersh as "that sweet boy" in the midst of this tragic situation is deeply insensitive and dismissive of the broader suffering experienced by countless others. While Hersh’s tragedy is heartbreaking, it is crucial to remember that Gaza is enduring a relentless cycle of violence, with thousands of innocent people-men, women, and children-losing their lives and enduring unimaginable suffering under the brutal oppression of the Zionist regime. The focus should not just be on individual tragedies but on the systemic violence and widespread suffering that affect so many. Using simplistic terms to describe such complex issues only perpetuates a narrow and biased perspective, ignoring the extensive and ongoing crisis faced by the people in Gaza. True compassion involves recognizing and addressing the extensive and systemic nature of the suffering endured by all innocent lives, not just those that fit a particular narrative.

While it’s commendable that you express heartfelt sympathy for Hersh and the incredible fight his family endured, it’s vital to recognize that the pain experienced by one family is part of a larger, more devastating crisis. My heart also aches for the countless innocent lives lost in Gaza-thousands of men, women, and children who suffer daily due to relentless and brutal oppression. Their stories and tragedies are equally deserving of attention and compassion. It's essential not to confine our empathy to individual cases while ignoring the widespread, systemic violence faced by so many others. Every family's suffering deserves acknowledgment, and the focus must be on addressing the root causes of these atrocities and working towards justice for all affected by such brutal conflicts. May we all strive to understand and address the broader context of suffering, and may God grant strength and relief to all those enduring these unimaginable hardships.

Your comment overlooks the broader and far more significant issue at hand. While Anderson Cooper’s handling of the video may seem compassionate, it does little to address the systemic and ongoing atrocities committed against innocent Palestinians. Over 50,000 Palestinians, including countless children and families, have been brutally murdered by the Zionist regime’s relentless bombings. Unless you view Palestinians as nothing more than “human animals,” as some Zionist rhetoric shamefully suggests, true compassion would require addressing the massive scale of this suffering. Merely acknowledging one tragedy while ignoring the extensive loss and injustice in Gaza is not true sensitivity. Genuine compassion and justice involve confronting these brutal realities and advocating for the rights and dignity of all, not just offering praise for isolated acts of coverage.

@touringthecitywalking9209
@touringthecitywalking9209 6 дней назад
While it’s important to express sympathy for individuals and acknowledge the suffering of hostages and their families, this statement falls short of addressing the broader, systemic issues at hand. The phrase "God Bless The Parents, the hostages and the "peace fighters" might sound compassionate, but it neglects the horrific reality faced by countless innocent people suffering in Gaza. The Zionist regime's relentless bombardment has resulted in the deaths of over 50,000 Palestinians, including children, women, and the elderly. These are not isolated tragedies but part of an ongoing, widespread atrocity. To only extend sympathy to select groups without addressing the massive scale of suffering inflicted by such brutal policies is deeply inadequate. It reflects a dangerous double standard and an unwillingness to confront the harsh realities of the situation. Unless you, like some Zionists, consider Palestinians as merely "human animals," as they have infamously said, then you should recognize the immense scale of suffering that demands more than superficial expressions of concern. True compassion requires acknowledging the full extent of the suffering and taking concrete actions to challenge and end the systemic violence that continues to devastate entire communities.

It’s crucial to recognize that while Anderson Cooper may show compassion towards individual tragedies, true empathy must address the broader context of suffering. My heart breaks not just for Hersh and his family but for the thousands of innocent lives lost and the unimaginable suffering in Gaza. The scale of this tragedy dwarfs individual stories and is often disregarded. Unless you share the Zionist regime's despicable view of Gazan people as "human animals," as they’ve infamously declared, then the selective compassion displayed is deeply troubling. True class and empathy involve confronting systemic injustices and the ongoing brutality that continues to devastate countless lives. It’s time to demand not just sympathetic coverage but a real commitment to addressing the vast, relentless suffering in Gaza. Selective compassion is insufficient; what is needed is a genuine, all-encompassing fight for justice and the end of such oppression.

While you express sorrow for the suffering of a few, where is the same level of compassion for the countless innocent Palestinians who have suffered and died under the brutal actions of the Zionist regime? Your focus on one tragedy, while ignoring the immense and ongoing suffering of others, reflects a troubling bias. My heart goes out to all the families. And to Rachel and John, parents of Hersh. But why did you afterwards interview one of the hostage's family and ask such a political heavy question? That family (and my heart breaks for them) does NOT represent the majority of Israelis or even the majority of the hostages' families point of views. You asked them if Netanyahu is doing everything he can to bring the hostages home? Of course he is. He is doing everything that is possible that would not endanger the rest of the country. As he should. I am Israeli, living in Israel, and I can tell you for a fact that many families of hostages are against a ceasefire and are definitely not blaming Netanyahu. They do blame Hamas. Hamas that kidnapped, tortured, and won't release the hostages. I'm writing this without a political agenda. You have your political views and I have mine and I think that's what makes us amazing as humans, that we can be diverse and still respect each other. But it is wrong to report, as a journalist, only one side of the story. It is deceitful to the viewers who watch you with good intentions and believe what you, a journalist, report to be the truth. Anderson, your overall reporting was quite sensitive. However, your question at 9:40 is at best disingenuous. You know - probably better than most - that Netanyahu needs to juggle multiple factors in considering a deal. It is patently unfair to ask "is he doing all he can" or " is he making the release of the hostages a priority?" As just one point, we need to remember that he is dealing with a group - Hamas - that promised many repeats of Oct 7. After the first one, it would behoove him to believe them. Furthermore, remember that Sinwar was released from an Israeli prison in the last such deal. How did that turn out for Israel? So as much as we want hostages returned, Israel needs to be smart about this and tread very carefully.

Much respect and care. Very sorry for the loss. I just caught a bit of Netanyahu's press conference this AM. Forgive any ignorance on my part, but his explanation of the ramifications of what would happen should Israel give up the Philadelphian corridor made sense. What is their response to this? I would like to see this war end as much as anyone. You have to be able to view all sides with a clear eye. How do people deal with a Hitler? Difficult to see any way out other than that taken by our fathers, and mothers, before us. Hope it ends soon.

It is not only the Israeli government responsible for a deal. For Hamas the hostages are mere bargaining chips. For us the hostages are very cherished. Still Israel has to be careful of what kind of deal it may accept. Israel should only accept a deal that will have all and each of the hostages released at once and not in stages, as we may "only " see some hostages releases at the cost of the others left behind. We need to remember what Hamas is capable of doing : October 7 is an understandable example of that.

Every moment we delay, every day we let pass, brings us not just disappointment, but deep, irreversible tragedy. Our children, our future, languish in conditions no human should endure-frightened, starving, and under constant threat. They hear the bombs. We hear their cries. And, Mr. President, it is imperative that you hear them too. But the toll extends beyond these innocent captives. Our economy, the very backbone of our nation, buckles under the strain of continuous conflict. Each day this war drags on, investors retreat, businesses falter, and the dreams of our citizens dim a little more. And let us not forget the brave men and women in uniform, who face daily horrors on the front lines. These soldiers, who pledge to defend us, are paying the ultimate price, their potential extinguished by a war that sees no end. The cost in lives is immeasurable, and the ripple effects through their families and communities are devastating. Enough is enough. We cannot afford to continue down this path of destruction. It's not sustainable, nor is it just. Your strategy, Mr. President, has failed-failed to bring our children home, failed to protect our troops, failed to safeguard our economic future. It's time for a new approach. It's time to negotiate, to bring an end to this conflict that drains our resources and extinguishes our hope. Let us learn from these harsh lessons and pivot to a strategy that values diplomacy over destruction. We need action, Mr. President, and we need it now. Not just because every second counts, but because our nation’s very future depends on it. We stand at a crossroads, and the decisions you make today will define us for generations to come. Stop this war. Bring our children home. Restore our economy and honor the sacrifices of our fallen heroes. Do it now, for history will not only judge what we've lost but also what we've chosen to save.

risis that sparked the Israel-Hamas war, has died at the hands of his captors, according to the Israeli military, bringing a crushing end to a tireless and high-profile international campaign by his parents to secure his release. The 23-year-old Israeli-American’s ordeal had come to symbolize the pain and agony of the more than 100 hostages still held in Gaza, with banners and murals demanding their return often displayed in Jerusalem and around the world. His murder, announced Sunday, has sparked fresh heartbreak and horror for the hostage families who fear that time is running out for their loved ones seized by Hamas as pressure grows on the Israeli government to secure a ceasefire agreement. Goldberg-Polin, who was among the hundreds of young people attending the Nova music festival in southern Israel on October 7, was forced to hide in a bomb shelter with his friends as Hamas militants launched a surprise attack, killing more than 1,200 people and taking about 250 hostages, according to Israeli tallies.

As Hamas militants began to lob grenades into the bunker, Goldberg-Polin rushed to throw them out, before his arm was blown off from the elbow down, according to a firsthand account from his friend. When the gunfire settled, Goldberg-Polin was forcibly taken by Hamas gunmen. That was the last time his friend saw him. The first sign of life from Goldberg-Polin came in April, six months after his capture. He was shown in a hostage video released by Hamas, with part of his left arm missing and hair cropped short. Speaking in Hebrew, he said he had been “here for almost 200 days” and called on his parents to stay strong for him. More than four months later, the young Israeli-American was confirmed dead, according to a statement from his family released by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Israeli military said his body was found “brutally murdered” alongside five other hostages in Hamas-run tunnels under the city of Rafah and that they were killed “a short while” before troops were able to reach them. Two Israel officials later told CNN that three of the six hostages whose bodies were recovered in southern Gaza were expected to be released during the first phase of an eventual ceasefire agreement. Goldberg-Polin was among them. Goldberg-Polin, alongside hostages Eden Yerushalmi and Carmel Gat, were slated to be released as part of the “humanitarian category” based on the framework Israel and Hamas agreed to in early July, the officials said. The fate of Goldberg-Polin had tied the fate of the hostages and US policy over the Israel-Gaza war more inextricably together. His parents have been among the most vocal of the hostage families pushing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to seek a deal securing their relatives’ return. They’ve also regularly met top US officials in Washington to press the case of the hostages. Days before his confirmed death, Goldberg-Polin’s parents made an emotional plea for their son’s return at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Since their son’s abduction, “we live on another planet,” his mother Rachel Goldberg-Polin said. “Anyone who is a parent or has had a parent can try to imagine the anguish and misery that Jon and I and all the hostage families are enduring.” Their speech was greeted with an extended ovation and chants of “bring him home” by the thousands of Democratic delegates at the convention, echoing a phrase that has become a mantra in Israel for the families of those taken hostage. The couple wore pieces of tape with the number 320 written on them, marking the number of days their son had been held hostage. A young woman who was in the same shelter at the time had previously told his parents that Goldberg-Polin, who was left-handed, helped to throw grenades out of the bunker before getting his left arm blown off from the elbow down. He was later taken on a truck by gunmen and driven off, eyewitnesses told his parents. Footage taken on the day of that attack showed Goldberg-Polin being marched out of the shelter - with his hand blown off and bone protruding from his wrist - and thrown along with four others into the back of a truck. The first time Goldberg-Polin’s parents saw that video was following an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper in October. The pair were recalling eyewitness accounts of how their son was taken into captivity during a live TV interview, when Cooper realized he had heard details of the story before. Days earlier, an Israeli soldier at the site of the Nova festival had shown Cooper the video. During the interview, Cooper realized the young man in the video was his interviewees’ son. Not wanting to spring the news on them on live TV, Cooper contacted the couple after the interview and asked if they wanted to see the video. They later confirmed the man in the video was their son and asked that the video be shared more widely. The latest hostage deaths up the stakes for the Biden administration to push US ally Israel to find a way out of a devastating war in Gaza that has inflamed global public opinion and repeatedly threatened to spiral into an all-out regional conflict. It also puts pressure on Netanyahu to agree a deal as fears grow that more captives will die and the ongoing destruction in Gaza could spark a wider regional war. More than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the war began, according to the health ministry in the enclave.
