Have you bought store brand clippers that just don't cut it? Well I have. Any time I went to groom my dog (Tucker) It would be a whole day project. The clippers might burn out, or they would not be able to cut through Tucker's thick coat. Well, I had enough. I went for it and purchased this Professional grooming tool. We bought the Andis AGC Super 2-Speed+ grooming clippers. Andis is one of the leading brands among professional dog and cat groomers. The 2 speed clippers can go for hours before they heat up too much. The Andis AGC Super 2-Speed is in direct competition with Wahl. The Wahl KM-10 model would be the closest thing to this model of Andis. Both are professional pet grooming clippers and have a 2 speed function. The Andis AGC 2-Speed + is advertised as "super duty" in that it should be able to handle even the thickest of coats that your animal could have. The detachable blade system is a life saver as you can switch the metal clippers our for any desired length and save your self TONS of time! Today we put that to test and give an honest review. This is not a pet/dog grooming video. More of a review on these pet grooming clippers. I am not perfect. I am not a professional. I am just a guy trying to save money while taking the best care of Tucker that I can. We purchased these clippers from

It’s at usd270 wherelse I think you got yours for usd199 Anyway I will be savings lots of money in the long run 🤩 Thanks again and do give a hug to Tucker for me. He is such a patient guy lying down for almost three hours just to get his hair trimmed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

As a groomer I am glad that you are at least using a comb attached and not shaving with just a ten blade. I suggest that you do a deshedding bath and and blowout before giving him a haircut, it will give better results. Using a deshedding conditioner leave on for 5 minutes than rinse. Than use a velocity dryer to dry him. Last use undercoat rake to help remove any remaining undercoat than do the haircut.

Thank you. Very helpful. It was a little hard to hear you sometimes with the background music on. Would have preferred no music, but otherwise, this is the best help I've found to use this groomer.

We have 3 miniature Poodle's that get trimmed all the way down, 4 times durring the summer. 4 X 3 = 12 cut's per year. Imagine the yearly bill on that. This trimmer is a must.

I use the Andis to groom 4 of our 6 dogs and it 2as worth the investment. I used the 10 blade to give three of our biggest dogs their summer cut since we're here in middle TN. Our three biggest dogs are 1) husky mix, 2) border collie mix & 3) full-blooded border collie. I've decided this year to buy a #7 blade for their spring cut & will likely use it for their summer cut, too. I had no success using the plastic blade guards. My best advice for you is to watch numerous grooming videos on RU-vid to see how the pros do it. I invested in a sturdy grooming table & it helped me tremendously, because I have back issues & my dogs are only patient with me for a certain amount of time. Also, there's a cooling spray you can buy to spray down the blade if it gets too warm when you're using it without a guard. These are just a couple things I've learned thru trial & error.

Such a good boy. I use an Andis on my Schnoodle and have no issues with it. It clips through her cleaned, brushed, curls like butter. The key is to have an excellent behaved dog who doesn't move a million times when you want to groom them. 😂

He looked pretty good! After about 2 1/2 hours he was done being up there and didn’t really want to cooperate anymore. I can’t blame him though. He was super patient!

I would if you had the right attachment. A standard ten won’t get into that hair enough. You’d need something all metal that cuts a lot longer. At minimum something around a half inch. That’s what I used a couple weeks ago and it worked really well.

Yes1 The andis agc 2 speed is meant for poodles who have thin hairs and gets matts easily! This dog didn't need a clip actually,.. The dogs who needs clipping are the ones who don't shed.

So for matted dogs, you actually DO want to use the #10 blade. You want to shave underneath the mats, not through it. If you try to use a guard attachment, it will just get stuck

This Andis clipper is way over a pound and non-ergonomic. So, I don't recommend it for women who have small to medium hands. There are way better clippers on the market. Take a look at the Wahl K10 with a cord or at a higher price point, cordless. Wahl is a way better brand than Andis in my opinion especially in light of the fact that several of the Andis models (the ones that are upgraded from the AGC) have faulty switches and some have been recalled. Apparently, Wahl has a much better warranty and customer service/repair than Andis. Obviously, this clipper is having a hard time going through this dog's coat which supports my opinion that Wahl is a better choice in general

I totally would have got the wall km 10’s if I could have found someone who had them in stock. Based on the research I did I found what you are saying absolutely true. this pair of Andis was the next best thing that I could get my hands on. The clippers themselves did a wonderful job. But the cheap plastic add ons were pretty terrible. Next time I cut (which is very soon) I plan on grabbing a full metal clipper.

I took a long time to cut the dog. Imagine cutting a matted hair border collie like ours on a farm. What an amazing dog you have, and he loves the bath.

I agree. A $10 Wahl did a better job on my matted cat than a $180 andis. The andis pulled out the hair more often than it cut it

Oh now I see you shaved him fyi you can ruin your dogs coat shaving him down like that be careful and make sure to brush him with a rubber curry brush so his follicles don't get clogged, and nicking your dog is a no no. You also need multiple 10 blades because they get hot. Also the comb attachment won't work unless your dog's coat has had the undercoat brushed out, whether it plastic or a metal comb you will still have the same issue.

Sir, well done. I've been a mobile dog groomer for 20+ yrs and you picked the best clipper for your job.... in my opinion. They are worth the money and now you know why first hand. Cheers! "Pet" clippers are never a good investment for anyone. Especially labeled as pet kits with other stuff included. 🫤
