In this video I am doing an honest review of the Andis AGC Super 2 Speed Clipper. I have had and used this clipper for a number of years now and therefore was able to give a full and in depth review of the clipper. I also go through my opinion on the positives and negatives of this clipper. Please remember this is just my personal opinion on the clipper and every groomer is different in what they like in their clipper.
Thank you for watching and if you have any questions regarding the clipper please leave them in the comments and I am happy to answer them!

@@FurryFriendsZone I’ve used this clipper for YEARS and loved it... I’ve been grooming for over 50 years and the best one ever made was the Oster clipper( the original one)... Andis is good, but I use the Wahl cordless now. BUT it’s SO hard to find a really great clipper these days... one that lasts, easy to use, easy to repair without a lot of hassle. .. AGH!!! Makes me crazy!!! I don’t care how much it costs? I need a really good , reliable clipper... Love your video! Right up my alley!!! Sending love and health to you!!! Keep up the good work! I’m always here to help ♥️🙋‍♀️

Awesome! Thank you so much for this video, this was very helpful but I would have some questions. I do have exactly this clipper, I have an old (castrated) saluki dog,, which grows longish angora type ”wool”. I clip the coat maybe every 3-4 months and I’ve used the clipper total maybe 5-10 times. The blades are still in very good condition, they’ve been cleaned and oiled after every time, they do snap well in place, sound is good but for some reason the cutting is very poor. The blades kind of just ”comb” on top of the coat rather than actually cutting and heats kind fast (maybe within 20 min). On the first times the clipper cut really well through the coat and definitely heated slower than now. The other odd thing I haven’t figure out, is that there’s some plastic item between the blades which I’m not fully sure what’s it for and in where between the blades it should be. Whether you have any tips what I could look more detailed, that would be very helpful!

Hello! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. So the issue you are having with the blades could be a variety of reasons such as the hair is too matted to go through the blade length you are using, the blade may need to be sharpened (I have even had some blades I take new out of the package be dull). You can also try using a blade spray, I have one I use called Cool Care Plus by Andis it is a lubricant for the blade and a cleaner. There could also be hair stuck under the blade in the clipper that may also be causing the issue. The blade should not be getting that hot that quickly. When you say plastic thing between the blades do you mean on the back of the blade? On some blades that back piece is plastic and on others it is metal. I hope some of these suggestions helped! If you have any other questions please let us know :)

Great review. I was wondering if you could recommend this to use on a maine coon cat? If not can you recommend a clipper for thick maine coon fur that has some mats?

Hi there thanks so much for watching. This clipper would be great for a cat with a thick coat but it’s more about choosing the proper blade. They do have blades specifically for cats. I have to emphasize that clipping a cat can be tricky as they have very thin skin. I hope this helps.😊🐶

Hi there thanks for watching. Sorry if you do t mind clarifying what you are referring to by which one? Do you mean blade or clipper?

I've never tried the Andis 2 speed. I did use the Andis 5 speed and liked it very much, but I decided to go with the Wahl km10 which I love. As a back up I have the Artero premium 2 speed. I didn't like it at first but now I do.

Hi! What are the other blades? Maybe my problem is that I need different blades. I'm using the blade that came with the set. I have a 15 year old shih tzu that I just started grooming myself at home, so that I can do it with frequent breaks and over days, if need be, to keep her stress level at its lowest. I purchased the andis agc super 2-speed clipper at the beginning of the lock down, and just couldn't seem to use it. I watch grooming viedos and see clippers go through like butter. Mine doesn't. My dogs hair is well brushed out, and not matted. So that's not a factor. When I heard you say other blades, I thought maybe this is my problem. Thanks in advance for any help. P.S. Great video. Thank you.

Hi there thanks for watching. One of the most important parts is to make sure your blades are sharp. Full blades will pull at the coat. Also make sure that your clippers well oiled and blades are oiled and clean of hair etc❤️🐶❤️

Would this be good for a replacement until one can get a higher quality clipper? How long do you recommend a professional, or trying to be professional groomer, use this for before being able to upgrade?

Oil the blades! Very little heat if you actually follow the directions. For people like you: RTFM!

Hello, what can you suggest or recommend for blade replacement? Been using Andis 10 blade but it usually dont last a month or two. Thank you!
@FurryFriendsZone
@FurryFriendsZone Год назад
Hi there thanks for watching. It should really last more than a couple months if you aren’t using it a ton. 10 blades are generally only used on sanitary and feet sometimes but not normally on the body unless the dog is extremely matted. Andis blades are one of my go to blades. You could try and get it sharpened but you also have to make sure you clean your blades and oil them regularly. Also make sure there isn’t hair stuck in it as well. Hope this helps. ❤️🐶❤️

I just got this clipper and was trying to do my dogs feet just now and it didn’t seem like it was cutting well at all with the 10 blade it came with. I have a toy poodle

Hi there thanks for a watching. A 10 should work especially it being a new blade. Try a 30 that might be a better blade for you just be careful in between toes.❤️🐶❤️

Hello. Where can I get a cord replacement?
@FurryFriendsZone
@FurryFriendsZone 2 года назад
Hey thanks so much for commenting! If the clipper is still under warranty I would recommend contacting the location that you purchased it from. They may be able to help or replace it otherwise then I would recommend contact the clipper company directly and speak to customer service and they may suggest for you to mail it in and they prepare it and will send it back to you. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions please let me know :)

How do you know when the blade is hot ?
@FurryFriendsZone
@FurryFriendsZone 2 года назад
Hi there thanks for watching. Every blade gets hot after running it for a good length of time but just touch it frequently to ensure it’s not too hot that it could burn
