Hello John, these microscopes have come a long way since the first ones we saw. Great resolution and lighting. Nice to see you back in the saddle - so to speak. I hope you are staying well. Things here in Ontario seem to be going downhill, but we are staying close to home and only going out for essentials. Say hello to Carol for us. Regards, Dave, Sheila and Sugar Bear.
Hi Dave, thank you 👍 Yes these scopes are certainly improving year on year aren't they. My Mum says hi back to You Dave & to Sheila and Sugar Bear too. Hope you are all staying safe & well. It's not nice having to be stuck indoors all the time, but hopefully like us Canada will get past the worst of the situation really soon. We are now at Step 2 of our escape from lockdown plan, which means we can now go out a bit more with the shops allowed to open again. However we still have to keep 2 meters apart, wear masks and not travel too far from home. We still can't visit friends in their houses for at least another month, but hopefully after that things will start to be like 'normal' again. Stay safe & well my friends. Regards John
On my Andonstar 409 (which they sent me to review) I attached the scope to the stand at the end ring instead which gives a much larger working distance and larger field of view.
Hello, I would like to buy this model to make videos but I have a doubt about the recording duration of the file. With other Andonstar models you can record videos as long as you want, but the files are organized into videos of exactly one minute. So if I log for ten minutes, it creates ten one-minute files. Could you tell me if the video files have a maximum recording time? Thank you!
I'm sorry but I don't think I have this microscope anymore, so I can't remember if this model records to SD Card in sections, or it can be captured via HDMI with a computer capture card. I would guess that the videos are recorded in sections to SD card as most are, but I can't tell you what the time constraints are. I'm sure Andonstar could help with this specific question if you asked them 👍
Well that looks handy :-D, i would back off on the magnification to get used to it. Hopefully you are still doing little jobs to keep your hobby alive, not for youtube . You will get rusty if you don't have a fiddle with the lead based fun :-D
Hi Harv, yes I'm still keeping my nose close to the soldering iron matey. I just don't turn the camera on when I should. I need to up my game a bit. Thanks Harvey, stay safe and well my friend. Regards John
