What Cassian remembers Clem told him when they were cleaning those starship parts, to see the possibilities beneath the surface, Nemik's manifesto, and Maarva's parting words to Cassian those for all of Ferrix, they really touched my heart ❤️🥺🤗.

They were just warming up their instruments, which was a perfect way for the screenplay author to convey the confusion of the empire in that scene. An act of unordered defiance, doesn't start with an orchestra playing synchronized directed by an dictator, but it ends with everyone channeling one voice. But the most confused guy in that scene (at first) is Luthen, because he thought all the time he had to direct the spark of the rebellion, but the rebellion has much more strength if it grows naturally and is formed around a true untampered cause. But without Andors latest "good deeds" or Aldhani the whole funeral would have been different, of course, but the speech would have been very similar, I think.

@Big Bro & Lil Sis Reacts, 10:40 In the event that you didn't figure out Braso's meaning, the child(ren) of the deceased is supposed to place the funerary brick in its designated sport in town. Cassian can't be there, so Brasso, a close family friend, elected himself to fill that role. 19:35 I think Luthen DOES want to be on the front lines, that's why he's putting himself out there like he does. The thing is, he cannot die before the Rebel Alliance becomes the Rebel Alliance! He's been trying to rally the fractured rebel cells to unite, and he's managed to get a couple to work together as we've seen with Mon Mothma and Saw, but they all have their own aims, their own agendas. That's not sustainable! It hasn't worked for the past 15 years and it won't work for 15 more. Something needs to change, and that's why Luthen forced the Empire's hand. He wanted them to over react and show their true colors and they did, the galaxy is feeling the the Empire's stranglehold and people everywhere are ready to pop, as we see here on Ferrix. Personally, I think there's more to Luthen that meets the eye. My man is living a double life, pretending to be something he's not, and he's doing it very, very well. He wears a Kyber crystal around his neck. His walking stick looks a lot like a lightsaber hilt, why wouldn't it have a double life too? We've seen a lot of skilled pilots in Star Wars' long history and NONE of them fly as well as we saw Luthen in the story before this! Luthen dispatched an Imperial convoy with perfect precision unaided! We've seen a team of skilled warriors struggle to do what he did in more than triple the time. Luthen's monologue is full of Jedi innuendo--he share's his dreams with ghost...Force Ghosts? I think Luthen is a former Jedi, and he's committed himself to bringing the Sith down, he's driven by revenge and this is why he's damned--a Jedi doesn't seek revenge. Jedi that have gone on before him likely try to pull him back towards the light side of the Force, but Luthen has forsaken his Jedi teachings and as a result condemned himself to make a sunrise that he will never see. Luthen being a Jedi would certainly explain why the Rebel Alliance use a Jedi crest for their symbol and why their salutation to one another is "May the Force be with you" despite the fact that the Rebel Alliance didn't have any Jedi among them when we first meet them in ANH. In fact, stories that follow Order 66 have shown us that the Jedi either died trying to fight back or that they gave up and fled. Luthen, however, staed behind and he's fighting, but not like a Jedi. It certainly looks like Luthen remained behind on Coruscant to use the tools of his enemy to defeat them, to do to Palpatine what Palpatine did to the Jedi: hide in plain sight while pretending to be something he's not, slowly building the very thing that'll topple Palpatine's Empire, the Rebel Alliance. Luthen is ready to die. As a Jedi, he'd have to be, as he was committed to keeping the peace. Luthen just can't allow himself to die before everything is in place, not before the Rebel Alliance can continue on without him. Luthen is usually always a step ahead of everyone else, but this was one moment that he was not. Cassian had gotten the jump on him, as did Marva's speech. He didn't realize that there were others in the galaxy who were feeling what he had felt for the past 15 years, he also had seen a people that were as united as the people of Ferrix. The People of Ferrix, for the most part, are one big family. Everyone knows everyone, and everyone shows up for everyone. Ferrix is the spark that's about to set everything off. Just wait, what happened of Ferrix is going to spread--it doesn't matter if Ferrix fell, which they probably did since they had no weapons, but their act of defiance and unity is enough to show others that they can do it too. Sargent Mosk looked to be rethinking his life on the steps of Ferrix. Is this where he and Syril go down different paths?

I'm honestly glad they edited it. "Fuck the Empire" doesn't fit as well with the tone of the rest of her self-eulogy. I don't have any qualms about them doing more "earthly" cursing in Star Wars...in fact I'd love it if they did...but there's a time and place for it, and I don't feel that would've been it. But credit to Fiona Shaw for going along with it anyway.
