Hey, the late great Rodney Dangerfield was a huge fan. That's enough for me, he really is incredibly funny. If we can't laugh at ourselves then we've lost something within ourselves.
It's easy to blame political correctness for his downfall. Dice did so himself when this movie came out. He said cinemas had to pull it early in the first week because of too much pressure from the PC people. He made it all up, though. The movie was just shit and dropped off a cliff in the second week, despite being shown on more screens than during the first week. He's a one trick pony, and by the 90s people had seen all of his one trick and moved on.

It wasn't an act; he was playing nice. CNN was trying to make him look good, because they wanted people to buy into his movie. It was all about promotiong and making sales.
It didn't happen the way Andrew thought, he was the first victim of the woke mob. His movie was just as good as any being released at the time but 20th Century Fox pulled all marketing and quietly released it.

I think that certain News talkers should learn how to pronounce the name of the subject that they are speaking about- and as far as Norma or cyanide from SNL which for many today equals 'slow', 'No Laffs' because face it More people Don't watch that show than those who think it's still cool. As for FORD FAIRLANE, if you hate it many don't care! They could have made Sequels and that is the type of set-up you should do them. Heck! Look at all the Crap out and Sequelling at us currently!! I think Dice was a D- comedian, even tho he wasn't a "comedian" Personally didn't like his shows or films but the way he got crucified in the early 90s was a little overboard , just my personal opinion.....sh1t comedian but decent guy
